You will be different, sometimes you'll feel like an outcast, but you'll never be alone. You will make my strength your own. You will see my life through your eyes, as your life will be seen through mine. The son becomes the father and the father becomes the son.
Kal-el had many emotion going through his head and flowing away from his body…he felt a tingling sensation in his skin, his heart sounded like a railroad out of his tracks, he felt a powerful pounding in his temples, he was still weak, it made him look human…almost human; he was a father now he would not feel alone; he remembered why he looked at the sky in the first place and after a circular motion started to gain velocity…he felt, he needed to see the stars once again.
Why Lois didn't tell him before? She had her reason; he left without saying goodbye, she moved on with her life bearing a child in silence…but Richard, did he knew? Poor Richard, this is really tearing him apart, but what should I do? This boy is Superman's kid, not Clark Kent…Am I going to tell my mother? To tell her that she has a grandson? No...One thing I known from my travels is that people can be hurt from things they don't know….
After a couple of minutes he feels the sky quickly changing color from a deep blue to beautiful black…he senses the little thing like the air running out or the drop of temperature, but what he liked the most is that stillness, that quite sensation…just like those morning in Smallville when he was a kid, just before his dad started to work on the field during the early months of summer…moments before the sunrise…he felt the sun claiming a part of him as his own.
Knowledge comes from finding the answers, yes, but understanding what the answers mean is what brings wisdom. "Men who didn't understand the difference have been the ruin of some of the world's greatest civilizations." He remembers his father telling him that when he was just a teenager, how could his earthly father be so wise? Why was he so blessed? He smiled while remembering the endless patience his father showed over the years and the strong example he exuded, the charm and the love he professed to his mother Martha until the day he passed away… I'll make you proud pa'…He will grow up strong and brave.
He always had mixed feeling about his family lineage, sometimes he was Superman last son of Krypton whose father was no other than the powerful voice hidden in the crystal by the voice of Jor-el, sometimes he was a farmers son named Clark Kent that liked cornbread and lived most of his life in that little Kansas town Called Smallville, and for the last 5 years he was Kal-el, the man dressed in a dark gray space suit looking for his reason of existence in the vast universe, he would have to make all three of them become one…once again.
He is a father now, problems may always surface and we will meet them head on…because hope is a quintessential emotion that tells us we belong… He opened his eyes, level his body and remember the words from Jor-el heard many, many years ago:
Live as one of them, Kal-El, to discover where your strength and your power are needed. Always hold in your heart the pride of your special heritage. They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son.
The sonic boom was all the NORAD radar could pick up…Superman was back.
