Maru watched as Eight jumped some stairs on his skateboard. It looked really cool and he made it look easy. She saw him look at her and she tried to to quickly look back at her computer but he walked over to her.
"Hey Maru you wanna try"Eight asked holding out his board.
"No that's ok"Maru said.
"Why not"Eight asked.
"I don't know how"Maru said.
"Then i'll teach you"Eight said grabbing her arm and pulling her up.
"Is it safe"Maru asked.
"Totally just wear this"Eight said putting his helmet on her head. Maru tried to clip the helmet on but she was having trouble.
"Here"Eight said taking the straps of the helmet from her hands. He leaned in close to her as he clipped the helmet and Maru blushed while Eight didn't seem to be affected.
"Ok now get on the board"Eight said putting his skateboard on the ground. Maru tried but the board slipped out from under her and she fell on her butt while Eight laughed.
"Don't laugh at Maru that hurt"Maru said rubbing her butt.
"Try again"Eight said. She tried five more times and was about ready to give up. She knew her butt would have a big bruise tomorrow. She tried again and started to fall but Eight caught her this time.
"Here hold onto me"Eight said setting her back on the board. This time she held onto Eight's shoulders for balance. Eight slowly walked and Maru realized the board was moving and she was staying on. Eight gradually got further away from her before letting go altogether.
"Eight look Maru's doing it"Maru yelled happily.
"Maru look out"Eight yelled. Maru stopped smiling when she looked ahead of her and saw a huge tree.
"Maru doesn't wanna die"Maru yelled putting her hands over her eyes. Eight ran hoping he could stop her. He jumped and knocked her off the skateboard. Once they hit the ground they didn't stop they rolled a few times. When they finally stopped Maru was on top of Eight.
"Maru are you ok"Eight asked trying to check her for bruises or cuts.
"Maru's just dizzy"Maru said laying her head on Eight's chest. .Eight just laughed and sighed in relief.
"Eight Maru's decided to leave the skateboarding to you"Maru said.
