Remus can't say that being trapped in number 12 grimmland place with Sirius was fun. But there were the upsides to it. Like now. Sometimes a man needs to just talk about the good ol' school days. So that was what they were doing on this particular Friday night when they were all alone in the in the house.
"Remember when James swore up and down that he was in love with Lilly? And we all gave him the mickey for days after words singing James and Lilly sitting in a tree K-i-s-s-i-n-g?" Asked Sirius. Remus laughed.
"Actually, you were the only one who teased him that hard, and the only one who sang that annoying song."
"Yeah but you can't tell me you didn't find it funny, I mean a twelve year old boy already deciding who he was going to spend his life with? I mean your thirty-seven and you're only just now figuring out who you want to spend your life with, and you're still trying to fight it!" Remus looked confused.
"No I am not, I figured out a long time ago who I want to spend my life with and that is me and me only." Sirius laughed.
"And then you met my dear ol' cousin Tonks."
"What does Tonks have to do with anything?"
"Um, perhaps the fact that you love her and she loves you?"
"I do not love Tonks! And even if I did, which I don't, it wouldn't work."
"Oh yeah? And give me three reasons why it would not work."
"A she was born while I was studying a Hogwarts, B I am much too dangerous for her, and C I am much too poor for her."
Sirius grinned.
"Moony loves Tonks!"
