Chapter 1
It was raining, again. The town was flashing past me in a blur; somehow I got to the boarding house without crashing the car. I parked and walked up to the door, as I was about to knock the door swung open. The man with frosty blue eyes stood with a glass of alcohol in it.
"Elena," he said simply before gesturing for me to enter. I clutched around my waist and tried to slow my breathing. Stefan was sitting on the couch, reading. He looked up when I came closer to sit." Well I'll leave you two love birds I peace," Damon said, almost spitting on 'love birds'.
"Damon, Stefan I need to talk to both of you", I said with as much authority as possible. Damon breathed out and came and sat across from me. I breathed out.
"I'm Pregnant," I couldn't believe what I was saying. Stefan sat in silence.
"Not possible," Damon said before standing to leave.
"Really? Because 6 pregnancy tests and a visit to doctor's would disagree!" I almost screamed. Then all was silent, everyone was thinking. "Do you mind if I use the bathroom? I need to pee a bit more than usual", No one replied so I stood up and went to the bathroom.
As I watched my hands, I looked in the mirror only to see blue eyes staring back at me. I was about to turn off the water, when his hand stopped me.
"Don't, trust me," he said softly. I knew what this was about; he knew what this was about. He locked his eyes on mine. " Look, I'm not sure how it's possible but you seem pretty sure it is, so let's say you are, we did have that night together, which leads me to my question, how do you know it's not mine?" I was silent. I didn't. "Exactly, we're going to go see someone that can help," he grabbed my arm.
"I'm not going anywhere with you!" he was about to say something else but I shut off the water. I knew he couldn't speak without Stefan listening. I went back to Stefan who was still sitting in shock. I said goodbye and kissed him before leaving.
