"Hey Kai!" A familiar blonde came running up. Kai turned, head tilted. She had just gotten back from training with Tsunade. Naruto stopped infront of her, a smile bright on his face. "I've noticed you've been training really hard since Grandma Tsunade became Hokage."
"Yeah..." Kai was quiet, mainly from being exhausted. Naruto reached behind his neck, taking off and handing her the same necklace Tsunade had gave him a few months before.
"I want you to have this." He said holding it out. Kai put her hand up.
"No, I-"
"I already talked to Grandma, she agreed." He dropped the necklace into Kai's hand, a smiling beaming.
"Thank you." Kai smiled, giving Naruto a quick hug. "This means a lot."
The next day when she went to see Tsunade, a stronger bond between the two began to grow. Naruto offered to take Kai and Sasuke out for dinner that night. Suddenly, he wasn't the airhead she used to see him as.
