Sarah rubbed her temples, feeling sick. She must not have had enough to drink, because whenever she drank, she felt better. Right then, she saw him. Stefan Salvatore moved through the crowd with too much ease. Sarah was surprised no one else had noticed. A younger, less stealthy guy followed, although he was just as handsome. Maybe less chiseled in looks, she thought, but still handsome. Sarah didn't know why she was so attracted to him in the first place. Stop. She couldn't be thinking this, she was sent here for a reason, and one reason only. Stefan had finally ditched the whiney brat, Elena, who was too weak and vulnerable to do anything for herself. Sarah forced herself into his mind, gathering his thoughts. He was thinking about Klaus again, and how the hybrids were becoming more civilized.

"Ha," She laughed the word out loud, and the younger brother looked over, noticing the girl for the first time. Her dark hair was tied up into a high ponytail, and her eyes were naturally smoky. She wasn't human; she was too poised, too obviously graceful. The humans didn't care, especially not the boys, they watched her with hungry eyes. Her green eyes seemed to gleam as she stalked over to him. She wasn't a vampire, but wasn't obviously a werewolf either.

"Klaus. You were sent here by Klaus, weren't you? At least one of you can finally control yourselves in public. I'd never think it was possible," Stefan said, almost in a rush. The guy behind him started staring at Sarah, wanting to take in her picture forever.

She laughed before saying, "I'm not a creature of Klaus's. But you were correct in guessing what I am. You thought he was the first hybrid?" Even her laugh wild, the guy thought. "And who's this kid?"

"I-I'm Nick," He stuttered slightly, wondering if she noticed him staring.

"Stefan, you of all people should know what happens when you trail a human around," Sarah replied, raising an eyebrow. She could see his pulse racing, and her mouth started to water. She'd never felt this before, but she rarely felt anything except anger. Her heart started beating faster, and she was surprised that it was still there. She managed to rip her eyes from him, as the task given to her was slipping father and father out of her mind. She stopped caring about it, she stopped trying to grab it.
