Final Fantasy XI
COPS: BASTOK
The day starts like the others. The sun rises over the city of Bastok and the new day begins. For Officer Mknzy the day couldn't end fast enough.
PORT BASTOK 0731
MKZY: Yea, it's hard being a cop in the city during these times. The town is quiet most of the time but you never know what the hell can happen. I just go on day by day giving back to the community what I was provided: A safe place to live.
After a short walk he got to the chocobo stables.
MKNZY: Well I am going to start my patrol for the day. Hopefully things will go well today.
SOUTH GUSTABURG 1042
MKNZY: Well this is where I spent most of my youth. It was just...oh one second.
A drunken Quadav stumbling around attacking level 2 and 3 innocents running by. One Taru was killed and deleveled.
MKNZY: Central this is unit 6. We have a 10-34.
CENTRAL: Unit 6 this is central. You say you have a drunken Quadav. What is the situation?
MKNZY: He seems...oh shit! The Quadav takes a Galka warrior and tosses him in Mknzy's direction.
MKNZY: He just tossed a Galka Warrior like a rag doll!!!
CENTRAL: Unit 6 take him down!
MKNZY: 10-4!
Mknzy casts provoke and the Quadav turns to him and heads in his direction. It takes a swing at him with its sword. Parrying it with his great sword Mknzy casts berserk on himself and does hard slash knocking the Quadav on its back. The Quadav gets up quickly and hops on a rock lizard riding it toward North Gustaburg.
MKNZY: Central! We have a runner! Commencing pursuit!
CENTRAL: 10-4. All units we have a pursuit heading to North Gustaburg. DARKMKMILLON: Unit 3 responding. I am a head of the suspect. Request permission to lay out the spikes?
CENTRAL: You have permission.
Darkmkmillon runs out and drags a row of long high wooden spikes and waits. Mknzy continues to follow until he sees the spikes. Stopping the chocobo and watching as the lizard slams into the spikes. The Quadav slams into the ground and gets up staggering then falls and fades.
Music plays and Mknzy levels up! Level 22!
Some one in the near distance (hey it doesn't have to make sense) starts cursing. A Tarutaru points in defiance and starts yelling at Mknzy.
BRUCEY-WUCEY: Blasttaru you! That Quadav was under my controlly-rolly!! You will pay! The Tarutaru hops on to a chocobo and starts his run.
MKNZY: Central! This is unit 6 the Quadav was under control by a Tarutaru. He is heading into the highlands! I need a unit to stop him!
CENTRAL: Unit 6. We have a unit near the Goblin camp.
MNKZY: 10-4.
The two chocobos run down the deserted areas heading to the highlands. Coming close Mknzy's chocobo hits the other but the little one was holding steady. The chase continued with Darkmkmillon catching up and following. The mage cast magic that missed the little one. Pulling on the Taru's side he forced him to head to the camp. Predator waited and tripped up the little chocobo has it ran over the trip wire. Mknzy and Darkmkmillon came to a halt. Predator looked at the two men and walked over to get the Taru. SQUISH all was silent as the mighty Galka warrior lifted his foot to see the mess of Tarutaru under his heel.
Later on as he takes the Chocobo back to the stables.
MKNZY: Yea it's a shame what this place has come to. But things go on and that's all you can do. Just continue...and set your home point to where you can go on.
