i. I don't really care for the rain. It's too wet. It makes the ground muddy, too muddy for walking, but there's no other way to get anywhere during a storm. I could jump on the back of a Flying Pokémon, and have them carry me, but if there's any lightning, that would cause more problems than getting mud on my shoes would. It bothers me to see their feathers covered in water, anyway.

ii. The rain may be good for the town, but I don't really like it. All the Bug-types hide when it rains, and they can't stand it when I poke at them when they're hiding. So I'm forced to stay in the Gym and play with the Pokémon I already have. It would be more fun if I could just run free among the trees, but searching for something that doesn't want to be caught in the rain isn't fun at all.

iii. It's definitely one of my dreams to be kissed in the rain. As a girl who wants to be regarded as normal by the people of the town for something other than using Normal Pokémon, it's a must that I have one average dream. Having my hand held while strolling through a spring shower, before being swept off my feet and into a long kiss definitely is one I share with most of the other teenage girls I know.

iv. Whenever the smell of rain filters into the Gym, the Ghosts tend to get more excitable than usual, blowing out the candles and hiding them so that, when the storm is in full force, I can't find them. Then, when the wind howls, they chime in, an eerie sound that I'm used to, but no one else who can hear it is. I can't even let myself fall asleep when it's raining, because they will get loose and terrorize the town if I stop watching them. Such is life, I guess.

v. There's no time better to train than when it's raining! Pokémon learn to respect their Trainer if they're out in the cold, with water hitting their heads and impairing their ability to attack. The beach becomes quicksand when it's raining, and it's a perfect, marshy, training field! Where else would a Pokémon and their Trainer learn to bond? Inside a house listening to the radio? I don't think so!

vi. For a meek person like myself, when it rains, it feels like the sky is understanding how I feel, just for a moment. It's letting all of its emotion out for the world to see, something I'd really like to do every once in a while. I can't help but be all closed off from the rest of the world, but I'm not sure how to tell them how I feel without stuttering. It's for the best that, when the rain is falling, I sit up in the Lighthouse, with Amphy and my Pokémon surrounding me as I dream of being better.

vii. The youth of today is much more accustomed to being inside during a storm. I remember being caught out in the rain, up at the Lake of Rage, for three days straight. It was an experience no child today understands. At every Leader convention, I hear the young kids who think they've got it rough talk about being grounded for a day. When I was their age, punishment was being forced to stand on the back of a Ice-type Pokémon, out in the raging storms.

viii. Honestly, the rain sucks. The roof here tends to leak in places, and my bed is always getting soaked whenever a storm blows through Blackthorn. If I could, I'd just keep the rain from ever torturing my little town again. Ever. It's not fun, at all, when I get a challenger and I have to explain why my clothes are wet and why my hair is wet and why I look like I just got out of the shower, when I actually just woke up and was sleeping in a wet bed all night.

A/N: I'm not sure why I wrote this, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to share it with the curious readers.

I don't own Pokémon, but I wish I did. Johto rocks that much. :)
