"It was on a shoemaker's bench, I swear it!" Theo whined, almost sounding like a little child who was disappointed that Padma did not believe him.
Padma was still looking at him suspiciously. "You found it on a what?" she asked.
"A shoemaker's bench."
"What in the name of Merlin is that?"
"The place where shoemakers sit and display the shoes?" Theo replied.
Padma looked at him confused. "You picked up a wand from a shoemaker? What if he is a wizard and looking for his wand?"
Theo made a grumbling face. "He didn't even know what it was, and he didn't even mind me taking it with me."
"It's a beautifully made wand, though. We should just hand it in to the Lost and Found at the Ministry," Padma said, after thinking for a while.
Theo nodded in agreement, glad that she finally believed him, or pretended to, at least.
But none of them moved for the next few minutes, instead staring at the ornately carved wand that Padma was still holding. It was strangely tempting. Theo felt like a child standing in front of a candy shop, gazing longingly at the wares.
"So..." Theo began after the awkward pause.
Padma turned to him, but did not reply for a few moments.
"Just. One. Spell."
"Each?" he asked.
She smiled.
Notes: Did not know where I was going with this, so it just ended up being a drabble-y thing that makes little sense. Padma's reaction to Theo saying "Shoemaker's bench" is similar to my own XD.For the Leonardo Da Vinci Event on The Golden Snitch. Prompt: "It was on a shoemaker's bench, I swear it!"(The hardest prompt I have ever written for, probably :p)
