Sometimes it's easier just to think that the whole world has gone mad. That not having the things you long for is really not that rare an occurrence, that being sad and masking emotion is normal. Just stay stoic, act stoic, make yourself stoic, even when you don't want to be, because sometimes Blue comes around and despite everything Green wants to feel all he really feels is relief, and a tad bit of annoyance. It's then that he knows that being stoic, having his facade, for all it's help, isn't hiding anything he feels on the inside, and it's definitely not hiding anything from her.
That is when it's time to forget her. . . and leave.
So Green sat outside a local shop in Johto, and flipped through a book mindlessly. Blue Blue Blue Blue Blue. He ran a hand threw his hair.
"Blue."
"Yes?"
Green flinched momentarily and then turned to the voice. Blue stuck her tongue out childishly, taking a seat across from him.
"Green," she grinned.
.:.:::.:.
Blue operates under a different set of emotions. She's not quite like Green is, nor does she have the sense to stay put and assess the situations she's in. He shouldn't be surprised to see her in front of him because that's just how Blue is. All smiles to hide frowns, all thoughts only to be neglected. Green likes that about her, too. . . in the same way he hates it.
Yet he can't help crack the facade for the moment he sees her. To be washed over with that familiar sense of relief. . . and that tad bit of annoyance, and then to know that Blue has spent a significant part of her life around masks, and that no matter how hard he tries to hide it or how far he runs to avoid her, she's been seeing right through him since the day they met. Green frowned.
So while she flails and smiles enthusiastically, intentionally over-looking the fact that the only reason he is here is to escape her and the emotions that follow her, and that the only reason she is here is to further reveal those emotions, he simply flips through his book and tries to do some over-looking of his own. Like over-looking why he would ever want to escape her in the first place.
.:.:::.:.
"So Silver told me he spotted you here about a week ago! And I couldn't find you around the gym, and Yellow said you haven't been in Viridian. . . I took it upon myself to hunt you out." She winked at him, but Green tried to ignore it.
"Was there a reason for this?"
"No, not really. . . but you know how everyone else can be so boring."
Green sighed and closed his book, turning his gaze to the girl across from him. Annoying women with her habit of knowing everything. She smiled.
"That's all?"
Blue nodded
"Go home."
"Okay, okay. . . So I might have other reasons, too!" Blue grinned mischievously.
"Like. . .?"
"Dragging you back with me to Kanto!" She made her way around the table and stood above him, Green looked up. "Coming from someone who knows," she raised her pointer finger smartly, "running away can be a stupid escape sometimes."
"What?" Green felt his cheeks warm, but fought the blush. "I didn't run away."
Blue laughed. "Come on, once we get back to Kanto, your buying me ice cream!" She proceeded to pull him up out of his chair, and out onto the streets.
Maybe the whole world really had gone mad.
Alright, this was originally Gone Mad, and then I added onto it and now I'm re-uploading it. I know, that I could simply switch out the chapters, but seeing as how it's almost an entirely different story now. . . I thought I should just re-upload it, sorry if I annoyed anyone.
Anyway, please notify on mistakes. . . I'm still working on dialog grammar -.-;
