Tony Stark was many things (genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist), but one thing he was not was shy, or that was until Steven Rogers.
Steve Rogers wasn't a lot of things (a bully, forward, a coward, social), but one thing he was, was honest, or that was until Anthony E. Stark.
You see, Steve and Tony changed (not to everybody, just to each other) but not when they met, no, they changed exactly 3 months after their first encounter. Before that, Tony was a big-mouthed asshole to Steve and Steve was a bit too rough to Tony.
The reason they changed was simple, they became friends; is the reason of why they became friends what is complicated.
It all began with an attack to New York City (of course it was NYC, and of course it was when they were on Malibu) by an army of evil robots.
It was a normal mission at the start: Steve had a plan a little bit too old school, Hulk was busy not being helpful, Thor was like a little boy in a candy shop, Natasha and Clint were the only ones who followed the plan and Tony was being Tony.
But it all change when suddenly Iron Man fall down from the sky, with no light in the arc reactor.
It wasn't the first time Tony woke up in a hospital without knowing how he got there, there had been many accidents in his lab (the first one when he was 5), and many times he was injured in battle or that time when Pepper gave him a concussion. But this time was different, maybe it was that he felt like he died and resurrected, or maybe was how warm he felt in his left hand, or the whispers that said: "Don't be dead, please, not you too".
Yeah, definitely the last two.
Tony liked the warm feeling and The Voice; it made him feel like home, but the pain on his chest was stronger.
"Ggggnn" Tony growled because of the pain.
"He is awaking, nurse" The Voice screamed "Nurse, please somebody"
There was movement everywhere and new voices, people touching him and talking to him, and Tony wanted to wake up and say that all he needed was The Voice and definitely not a defibrillator.
"Now, everyone who doesn't want me to buy this hospital and fire all of you, please get out of my room" Tony said without open his eyes.
"Mr. Stark, with all due respect-"
"I said. Get. Out"
"Please doctor, don't listen to him and continue doing your job" said The Voice.
Tony opened his eyes as fast as he could, wanting to know who was the person whom made him wanting to wake up.
The first thing he saw was white, white everywhere, then his head went where The Voice came from and all he saw was blue. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, I'm screwed" he thought, because there standing in all his glory was Steve Rogers.
Fuck.
