I just watched 'His Master's Voice' because I needed to know something for my other story "High School Ghost" and then I thought of the idea of when Kari calls out to Tai he hears her voice. I mean, because Kari pulled T.K into the Dark Ocean, right? He heard her. Why not Tai? He's her brother for crying out loud!

It's REALLY short. And REALLY lame.

Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon.

"Thanks for walking me home T.K."
"It's okay Kari. I'm glad you've decided to talk to people about what's bothering you."
"Yeah, I know."

The two pre-teens stopped outside the Kamiya apartment. Kari looked at her companion.

"Do you want to come in?"
T.K hesitated. "Well, um..."
Kari chuckled. "Don't worry. Tai doesn't come home till late today. He won't kill you."
"That isn't as reassuring as it should be, he's standing right behind you." T.K said. Kari turned around to see her older brother in the doorway.

"Come in when you're done, okay, Kari?" Tai said, and he turned around and headed back into the apartment.

"That was weird." T.K commented. "Isn't this the time he kills me for walking home alone with you?"
"He's protective but he's not crazy." Kari said. "We're only twelve and he trusts you. Now, if it were Davis, then he'd have dragged me into the apartment."
T.K laughed. "Yeah, I guess. Well, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye T.K. Thank you, for today."
"No problem."
Kari watched as T.K disappeared down the stairwell and then opened the door to her apartment.

"Mom? I'm home." Kari called. She took off her shoes and dropped her schoolbag by the door. She walked into the living room and noticed that her mom wasn't in the kitchen cooking up another disgusting recipe. Her dad wasn't home either. Kari wandered to her bedroom where Tai was doing homework.
"So when's that due?" she asked, taking note of the scribbled writing.
"Tomorrow."
"When'd you start?"
"Just now. Had to do something to relax."
"Homework relaxes you?" Kari asked, raising an eyebrow. Tai spun around on the chair.
"Kari, I've been really worried." he said. "About you."
"Why? You don't normally get home till after dinner on a Thursday and I'm home early."
"I heard you." Tai said. "Call out to me. I know you've been having nightmares too. What's been happening that you can't tell me about?"
Kari diverted her gaze from her brother. "It's nothing."
"Don't give me that." Tai said, turning back to his homework. Kari sighed, and sat down on the lower bunk that belonged to her brother.

"Some Digimon were trying to take me to their world. Another dimension. Not the Digiworld. Some other world. Then today they did. They wanted me to be their Queen, to help them fight their 'Undersea Master'."

Tai turned around quickly and looked at her with wide eyes. "What?" he asked. Kari nibbled on her lower lip.

"I'm sorry for not telling you Tai. I should've. Then it wouldn't have happened."
"You should've told me. But you're safe now. Thank T.K for me."
"Huh?"
Tai smiled knowingly. "I know he went after you and brought you back."
Kari smiled too. "Yeah, I'll let him know."

"Now, go ring Sora."
"Why?"
"She was freaking out because I was freaking out. She thought I was going crazy because I was hearing your voice and no one else was."
"Oh. Sorry."
