Hello there, Kuro here! I do love Aesop's fables, so I decided to start a oneshot series with them! Most will be fairly sad, but I'll try to keep a light mood.

Fable #1: The Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts
Once, Long ago, a War came about between the Birds and the Beasts.
The battle between Ghosts and Humans is never-ending. The fight continues as long as they exist, and they can never coexist peacefully.
The Bat watched from afar, and when it seemed that the Birds were winning, he flew over to join them.
With free passage between worlds, the Humans force themselves into the Ghost Zone, attacking the inhabitants indiscriminately.
Danny fought alongside his family and friends, driving the Ghosts into their homes.
But the Birds rebuked him, saying, "Get away! You are a Beast!" To which he replied, "But do you not see my wings?" But they drove him from their side.
But the Hunters didn't see that. They saw a ghost, and ghosts needed to be destroyed. They attacked him, and drove him deep into the Ghost Zone.
The Bat watched again, and when it seemed like the Beasts were winning, he flew over to join them.
Angered, Danny joined the Ghosts, and tried to help them drive the humans back to Earth.
But the Beasts rebuked him, saying "Get away! You are a Bird!" To which he replied "But do you not see my fur or my claws?" But they drove him from the battlefield.
But his enemies drove him away, remembering how often he had fought against them. They attacked him, and drove him away.
"Ah" Said the Bat.
Danny Phantom disappeared that day, and so did the son of Maddie and Jack Fenton. He was never seen again.
"I understand now."
"He who is not one or the other has no friends."
