" ...Mother. Please don't go...no, don't leave me here! No! No! NO! Mother!"
"...come on Mr. Bubbles, i'm tired! No, no more ADAM, i wanna go to my hidey-hole." She could hear the faint voice of a Little Sister. She could feel the heavy vibrations through the floor that would sync with the steps of the Big Daddy protecting the Little Sister.
And she waited. She waited to hear what would come of the situation. What would happen to the Little Sister.
She knew that she would either hear the calming song of a sigh of relief, a quiet "Thank you", and a backup of the metallic sound of the Little Sister crawling into her metal Hidey-Hole. Or a loud, terrified scream full of pain and horror. Either way, she would be there. She had to be. That was her order.
Then she heard it.
A loud, piercing scream that cut right through her like a blade. She could hear the struggles of the Little Sister as the Big Daddy attempted to harvest her and gain all of her ADAM. 'So much trouble for such a tiny slug' she thought. She stood up, adjusted her helmet, and ran.
She ran as fast as she could, trying not to get in the way of any Splicers. She hated Splicers. With a passion. They were annoying, and stupid, and would get in her way and make her slow. However, this time, for once, there would be no Splicers in her way. Nothing to slow her down. At all.
And there it stood.
The Big Daddy. Holding a struggling little sister. She screamed. Loud.
The Big Daddy dropped the Little Sister, and charged, full speed at her.
She teleported. As far away as she could, but still close enough to do damage to the Big Daddy. She perched on a ledge, and threw a nice, clean, perfectly round fireball at the Big Daddy. It hit him nice and hard, right in his helmet. The Big Daddy opened his non-drilled hand and threw a large jolt of electricity at her. She attempted to dodge the attack, but the ledge didn't hold her up, and she fell right into the attack.
She screamed in pain, it was horrible and unbearable. When the vital sting of the electric shock was over, and she had regained herself (or at least, thought she had), a sudden blow to her chest was deployed. It burst through her, at top speed. She howled in pain again, and this time, not concerntrating on the perfection of the shape, she threw 5 large fireballs into the Big Daddy's path. They hit him, and he stumbled. She took her chance, and charged at him. She threw her arm into his chest and then, to top it off, she stabbed him. Right through his body.
The Big Daddy growled in pain, and then went limp on her needle. 'I really do love this thing' she thought as she pulled it sharply out of the Big Daddy.
And that's when she noticed it.
The Little Sister sitting in the corner, shivering.
Crying.
The Little Sister was still alive.
She walked over to the Little Sister, and stroked it's hair. It was soft and stringy, almost like thin strands of silk. There was no more silk however. Not in Rapture. Not anymore, at least.
The Little Sister looked up at her, and tapped on her frontal porthole.
"Sister!" it said, eyes shining, and mouth gleaming. The Little Sisters arms reached something.
She picked the Little Sister up in her arms, and held her. "Sister! I wanna ride on your back! Put me on your back!"
"What's your name?" She asked the Little Sister, reaching over and slowly placing her in the ribbon adorned cage on her back.
"Mmm...I don't have a name!" The Little Sister said, grabbing on tightly to the railing of the cage.
"I shall call you Lucky then. How's that?" She said, slowly getting up, so as not to startle the Little Sister.
"I like it! Thank you Sissy!"
"Anytime, Lucky."
And the two began to walk away, off leaving the former Big Daddy behind.
