OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

"Come on Tommy. Why can't you look at the camera?"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Come on Tommy. Why you have to be like that, huh?"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Tommy! Please! Just look at this big fat circle and smile!"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Tommy, please? For me?"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Groaning, Hermione Granger pulled her stressed out mass of chocolate brown hair into a tight messy bun and started over.

"Tommy. I'll sing you a song."

"I'm a little teapot, uhh… short and stout. Here is my handle here is my… spout? Dee lee lee lee lee lee doo doo doo. Tip me over and pour me out!" Hermione even did the hand motions furiously as Tommy continued to cry.

Sighing one last time, Hermione walked over to the door, peered outside to the anxious parents and slammed the door shut. Whipping out her wand, she taped the door to make it total silence to the outside viewers.

"Now, Tommy. My wand is only for emergency cases. You know what that means?"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"I'll take that as a no. It means I'm getting frustrated with you. Yes. It means I'm going to either force a smile on you or force a smile on you."

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Don't make me do it." Hermione pointed the wand threateningly at the crying baby.

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"1…"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"2…"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"3…"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"SILENCIO!" Hermione cried and flicked her wand. The baby's mouth continued its O shape but no sound came out. The baby seemed to notice and the O became a bigger O.

"Now, Tommy. Don't make me do an unforgivable curse and make you smile."

Silence.

"Good boy. I'll take that as a 'I'll listen to you, Hermione so you don't have to do anything else to me!"

Silence

Tears as big as the baby's face rolled down his cheek.

Hermione sighed.

"Why are you so sad, Tommy?"

Silence

"Whatever happened to you that made you sad, Tommy?" Hermione asked, combing Tommy's wet sad hair. She crouched down low to face him in the eye and tried to dry his tears with her own fingers.

"You want to know what happened to me?"

Silence.

"I bet I'm probably even sadder than you are."

Silence.

"You didn't lose a best friend who went out and killed himself to save the whole world."

Silence

"You didn't befriend Harry Potter and see him as a person and not as a super hero."

Silence

"You didn't have to go through 7 years with him, getting closer to him every year and give up everything you had the last to help him and lose it all."

Silence

"You didn't have to be proved wrong when you found out that Harry himself was a stupid horcrux thing of Voldemort and had to destroy himself to save us. You weren't there in the exact same moment when he turned his wand to himself and waved. You weren't there when he went through 365 days of mental torture to fulfill his stupid destiny. You weren't there when he risked his life way too many times to count just to do some noble deed. You weren't there when he just completely lost it and blew up of all the weight that tottered on his shoulders. You weren't there when he completely broke down right before he Avada'd himself."

Silence

"And then, you weren't there when he was reaching out his fingers to catch a snitch. You weren't there when he was triumphing over a game of Quidditch. You weren't there when he had girl problems and was confessing his stupid dating disasters. You weren't there when he tried to ask out a girl he fancied, turned red, and ran away. You weren't there when Ron owned him in a game of wizards chess. You weren't there when he was standing awkwardly trying to kiss Ginny without Ron flipping out. You weren't there when he argued with a professor and got detention. You weren't there when he was happy and high spirited after he earned something he totally deserved. You weren't there when he was congratulating everyone on their happy endings while he was sitting there, wallowing in his own pains. You weren't there when he and Ron were making fun of some hilarious scene they've just witnessed."

Silence

Now, Hermione was drenched with tears as Tommy sat there unteary and staring at her.

"There. Now you've stopped crying, care to take a picture for me?" Hermione got up, wiped her face with her sleeve and peered into the camera lens. An image of Tommy the baby appeared, his face looking as if he was stoned.

"Tommy smile!"

Stoned, I tell you.

Hermione shook a teddy bear.

"Smile, Tommy! Smile!"

Stoned.

Sighing, Hermione flicked her wand once more. "Rictusempra!" She hit the baby with a tickling charm. Immediately, Tommy began giggling.

Hermione took many shots before her film ran out and wiped the sweat plus tears away before taking out the film carefully.

"There there, Tommy." Hermione undid the tickles and smiled at Tommy.

"That wasn't so hard was it?" Hermione said, kissing Tommy simultaneously on his small baby nose.

Hermione undid all magic and unlocked the door handing Tommy to his loving parents with eager eyes.

"As beautiful as magic."

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

"How was work today?" Jane Plates asked when Hermione came stomping into their flat.

"Dreadful." Hermione flopped down on the sofa.

"I can see. You want something to eat?"

"Nah. I'm fine."

"You know, my sister's getting married next month! About time now, they've been dating for years now. 4? 5 maybe." Jane continued. "But they're a little low on money now- so they were wondering… uh… would you mind taking their wedding pictures?"

"Sure. Whatever."

"GREAT! Thanks sooo much Hermione!" Jane, Hermione's always effervescent roommate jumped on her.

"They still have to pay me you know."

"What? Can't you just…"

"No! I need to eat and live you know."

"Please? Don't you have like friends and family discounts?"

"Yeah- but I don't know if I have a roommate discount."

"I'm not your friend?"

"You're my very dear roommate."

"I'll invite you to their wedding."

"What- you weren't going to before?"

"Well you're just my 'very dear roommate.'" Jane huffed.

"And what are you? You're not even the one getting married so how could you say who to invite and who to not invite?"

"I'm the bride's SISTER!"

"And I'm the bride's sister's roommate! Jane- we LIVE together." Hermione said, winking at Jane.

"EW! No! Hermione! Please- just give them a small discount. Maybe 50 percent off?"

"50? 50? That's like half the usual price! Maybe like 10 percent off or so. Because you're just a 'very dear roommate.'"

"40."

"10."

"35."

"10."

"30."

"10."

"30."

"10."

"30."

"10."

"30."

"15."

"20."

"17."

"18."

"FINE! I'll give your sister of yours 18 percent off on her wedding picture, okay? But you have to do the math. Good night!" Hermione cried after her as she threw Jane a calculator.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

As if they had telepathic connections, Jane's sister and her fiancé walked into their shop the next day.

"Hello! I'm Sandra Plates. Jane told me you will be doing our wedding pictures?"

"Yeah."

"Oh great. Well, see, neither of us has taken wedding pictures before, you see."

"Oh really? I never would have guessed."

"Heh. Well I wasn't really sure if I was supposed to bring my own dress or you provided them so I brought it just in case."

"Oh. We have a dress but if you don't like it, there won't be any fault if you wear yours.

"Oh! Great! Show me the dress!" Sandra followed Hermione to a back room where she kept her props. She eyed the flowing white dress.

"I think I'll wear yours. Now are the pictures inside or outside?"

"They're a little bit of both."

"Oh great. Uh… Dave seemed to have brought his own little fan club and they're all waiting outside, you know."

"Oh sure. It happens all the time."

"Yeah. Uh- but the crowd is rather… large."

"Estimately how many?"

"About 80? 100?"

"WHAT?"

"Yeah."

Shaking her head, Hermione handed Sandra the dress, closing the door behind her. She walked over to the counter in which Dave was leaning on. Dave stood up straight.

"Well uh…"

"Yes?" Hermione said, rather sharply.

"Uh… should I change…?"

"Sure go ahead. Would you like one of our suits?"

"Uh… no. i-it's okay."

"Suit yourself." Hermione mumbled before realizing her unintended pun and chuckled.

XXX

Sandra had been correct. When the three of them walked out of the building, a great big mob of people started cheering and throwing… stuff. The people took about the amount of space as the whole park.

The couple waved at their adoring fans and giggled. Hermione led them to a dashing clearing that was rather secluded.

"The first pose we'll be doing today, is the picnic pose. I'll like both of you to sit on the grass right there." Hermione directed them to middle of the field. She adjusted their heads and did last minute make up checks on Sandra as she spoke with a friend.

"Is Drake here?" Sandra asked Teresa.

"No. He called. He's busy today."

Sandra sighed. "I told him to clear his schedule today."

"It doesn't matter, Sandra. It's YOUR big day, not his. You're… over him right?"

"Well of course! I'm getting married to Dave here!" Sandra cried out a little too suddenly. "As long as Drake's coming to my wedding, I'm all fine here."

"He's coming. He wouldn't miss it for the world. Now come on. Your photographer is waiting." Teresa noted as she walked away to join the crowd.

"Now, I want you to slightly touch your noses together. Don't move a muscle anywhere else. Smile and look like you're having blast. Yay." Hermione shouted over all the hoopla that was happening all around them.

Dave and Sandra obeyed and posed.

Click.

Hermione positioned them for their next pose and got behind the camera again.

Click.

Pose. Click. Pose. Click. Pose. Click. Pose. Click.

And after a few dreary hours, the group quickly dispersed and Hermione trudged back to her studio.

That was the life of a photographer.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

La la- tell me what y'all think!

So you might be REALLY CONFUSED. It's okay. Everything will be explained from why she became a photographer to who Drake is. And the wedding is coming up!
