They say they're your friends....that you can trust them. And you do. But then you turn your back, get just a tiny bit distracted....and that's when they stab you....and the thing is the wound never heals - sure, you might pretend it does and sometimes even forget it's there - but then the tiniest thing reminds you and it hurts even worse than that first time (when at least you where in denial)...yeah - you know it happens.
