I wish I could tell you that it's not too late to change the ending to this story.
But I can't because no matter what you do,
No matter how hard you try
There was only ever one way this would end.
And this is it.
So don't beat yourself up child,
By laying awake in the dark with 'What if's'
'What if I had done nothing? What if I had done something? What if I said No? What if I said Yes?
What if I had never meet them? What if I had stopped it in time? What if I let it happen?'
Even if you had picked left instead of right, or up instead of down, or dark instead of light, or life instead of death,
You would have gotten here eventually,
You just happened to take the longest and most painful route to get here.
So I'm sorry if you wanted a different outcome,
But I think It's important that you know,
That none of this was your fault,
Your story was written long before you were born.
All of this had to happen,
You just happened to get the short end of the stick.
On the bright side,
You won't be around to watch the world you tried so hard to save, get destroyed,
By your handy work.
So stop running from your fate,
Just let it end already.
Close your eyes say good bye and let this play out the way I wrote it.
