Jack nervously eyed his surroundings as a wave blasted over him. The sandy beach that he was laying belly style on seemed nice and comfortable, the trees seemed vaguely familiar, and the stench…"I think I've drunken rum here before…" Jack got to his feet and brushed off the sand on his pants. He turned around slowly and looked up to gasp and jump backwards. A bunch of spears were pointing right at him, and happy faces were starring right at him.
"Oh, hello!" Jack said, moving a pointy tip out of his face.
"Jack Sparrow?" The ruff voice of one of the men made Jack raise his eyebrows. "Oh, you learned English?" All of the Cannibals nodded mischievously.
Jack grinned and pointed his finger as if he were about to speak and then spun around and took off. All too soon could he hear the sound of the barefoot men chasing after him. He looked for a place to hide, and found a pit in the ground. He was about to jump in when he realized it wouldn't help if he jumped in because he was in clear view of everyone behind him. Thinking quickly he ran faster, passing the pit, and entered the dense forest. He could tell from the sounds the cannibals were losing ground so he eagerly reached up and found a thick vine in which he grabbed hold of and pulled himself up into the canopy. Grinning he watched as the mass of the cannibals rushed past underneath him.
After they had run past he easily jumped back down to Earth and strolled back towards the beach as if nothing had happened. As he calmly strutted away he began to wonder how he would get off the island. How did he get back there in the first place? Perhaps the crew had committed mutiny. Or maybe he fell overboard and was so drunk that he forgot to yell for help. He shrugged it off, for now all he needed to worry about was getting off the island. The bushes behind him started to rustle and he glanced behind him. "And how to get away from you guys…" He took off at full speed once again, searching for a way to escape or hide.
Another vine simply would not do- being tripped by a sharp rock caught Jack off guard and he toppled over and grabbed onto a loose piece of vine as he found himself hanging onto the vine for dear life. He had tripped over the rock which had caused him to topple over the edge of a cliff. He hung onto the vine and looked over his shoulders. He felt dizzy as he saw how far down the end of the drop was. As he was bringing his head back to the front his eyes caught sight of a small opening in the cliff-face. He then realized that the vine he was hanging onto hung farther over the cliff and started shimmying down the vine. He kept climbing down as the sound of shouting voices and stomping feet became louder and louder. Suddenly his hat blew off because of a strong wind. "My HAT!" He gasped, realizing his mistake of talking too loudly. He climbed down faster than ever and finally reached the opening when it seemed like he would never make it. Eagerly he leapt into the small opening and listened as the voices grew to their loudest and he was sure they were watching his hat blow away in the distance. To his dismay he could even hear them shouting, "Ba Liki Liki" as they started climbing the vine down towards him. Catching his breath and nervously glancing around he said, "I gotta get out of here…"
