Dear Frodo,
Things are surely different around the shire without you. I keep feeling as though something is missing, and each time I realize it's because I don't have my best friend. It is however comforting to say that some things never change. Pippin and Merry still enjoy stealing from Farmer Maggot's crop. I've learned well enough by now to not get involved with that again. The shire folk still enjoy their parties and fireworks. Though, with Rosie and the kids I hardly have time to go out anymore. I love being a father; it's a new adventure every day. I thought you might like knowing that our adventures are their favorite bed time story. They love hearing about the great Frodo Baggins. My eldest wishes to be just like you, you're really a hero to them. You are a hero, Mister Frodo. In everyone's eyes. Even though we wished you wouldn't have left us, we respect you none the less. Hope all is well wherever you are, and I hope the blooming trees are just as sightly as they are here. Best of wishes to you and all you reside with. Tell Gandalf I said hello, would you?
