Note : This is my first fanfic made for a science project. I was told to make a short story about a knight fighting a arachnid the same size as the knight so i picked a spider. Enjoy

The Bow

The bones in front of the man disappeared in an explosion of white particles and left a few arrows behind. Before continuing his mine cart trail he examined his bow, he determined it could only take one more hit. He muttered under his breath and headed down the tunnel he had been paving with tracks. After several turns and 2 hours he arrived at a room paved on the sides with chests. He headed for one labeled "Drops." He sighs with disapproval after checking inside of it and grabs a shining blue sword and matching armor from a nearby chest. After putting on the glistening attire he grabs a mine cart from yet another chest and proceeds to the "Drops" chest again. He swiftly pulls a lever near the chest revealing a hidden mine cart trail. After getting into the mine cart he punches a button on the wall of the tunnel sending him forward at a constantly magnified velocity. 2 minutes and 3 miles later he arrived at a small brick fort with one tower and some non-appealing walls. Its creator obviously was thinking about the practicality side of architecture and not aesthetics. He climbed the tower and grabbed a few bottles labeled, "POSIII" and "POFDRIII." Two hours later the sun set and he got out of his chair to watch for movement outside the fort. 2 minutes later he saw something, white particles formed in the air and started concentrated in one spot, a shape glowed white for a moment and then formed into a spider. "Now" he thought, he swiftly drank the bottle labeled "POFDRIII" and started glowing, he swiftly jumped off the 20 block high tower and landed without a scratch but the glow disappeared. He gripped the other potion and poured it down his throat. He started to glow light blue and ran out the fort gate with unnatural speed amplified by the potion. The spider noticed the blue gleam of his sword and moved to avoid but was a bit too late. The sword struck one of its legs and power arched through the sword causing the leg to combusted into flames. The fire went out soon but the spider a difficulty moving. The spider thrust a leg forward in a punching motion and the man was too slow to avoid. He stumbled and the spider tried to hit again but the flat side of the sword blocked it and he pushed it back with the hilt of his sword. He put the sword in its sheath and grabbed a purple pearl from a pocket and threw it behind the spider. The sphere behind the spider and the man disappeared in a purple explosion of particles appearing behind the confused spider. Before it could react he plunged the gleaming sword through its back. Lightning surrounded the blade of the sword and the spider burst into flames and then disappeared in a blast of white particles leaving behind 3 pieces of string and a spider eye. Satisfied he placed a block down and arranged the string and some sticks. They exploded into white particles and formed into the shape of a bow above the block. Content with his new weapon he went back to the fort, to finish his mine cart track.
