Hyde was sleeping on his cot in the Formans'basement and woke to a loud noise somewhere near the outside door. "Huh, wha'sgoin'on?" he grumbled groggily as he stumbled out of bed. Ducking under the air duct, he rubbed his eyes as he walked over to the on the light and he looked through the blinds on the window.

"Jackie, what the hell are you doing here?" he asked, completely awake at the sight of her ouside in the rain.

Jackie pushed her way inside and closed the door behind her. "Steven, I couldn't sleep, I'm all alone at my house, can I stay the night over here?"

Hyde pulled his girlfriend into his arms and held her. Feeling her damp clothes, he remembered that it was raining outside. "You're soaking wet, Jackie. Come one, let's get you cleaned up and dry." Jackie nodded and followed Hyde into his room. He dug in the dresser and pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of clean boxers. "Wear these after you take a shower upstairs. I'll throw your clothes in the dryer and then I'll go up there and cover for you if the Formans come knocking."

"Ok."

Hyde did as he said he would and Jackie did as he told her. When she was clean and dried off, she tip-toed back into the basement and crawled into bed with Hyde. "Thank you, Steven."

"Don't mention it."

Jackie stayed the night every night with Hyde in the basement until she tripped on Eric's LEGO model, making enough noise to be caught by Red and Kitty.
