The awful edges where you end and I begin
Inside your mouth I cannot see
There's catastrophe in everything I'm touching
As I sweat I crush you
And I hold your beating chambers until they beat no more
You die like angels sing

Free.
He was free he was free he was free he was free.
The city lights burned brightly all around him while L was stuck stuck stuck in a whitewhitewhite cell because that is what he would always be, trapped like an animal always trapped like an animal because that's what he was just a smart little animal that would always always always belong to Beyond not only in body but in name.
In identity.
That's right because Beyond is smarter than L which means he is the perfect person to destroy him destroy his name destroy who he is destroy everything about him because he won't be someone important for long.
But L will always be important to Beyond.
(His obsession his obsession his detective his detective—)
He has broken L, has cut out his brilliantbrilliant insides until he left only a shell of a man, a crying and bloodied and terrified human being with not a shred of dignity left to his name.
(Hisnamehisnamehisname he has so many names—)
Beyond would take it all from him even though he already has nothing left because Beyond was brilliant and there was a price for being almost as brilliant but not quite as brilliant as Beyond because then you were soso fun to play with. To toy with.
(L is Beyond's plaything.)
Beyond would take the city's police by storm he would own L be L devour L.
Devour L.
Beautiful.
I think Beyond is more obsessed with L than even his biggest fangirls. And that's saying a lot.
Okay, so! Remember how I told everyone that I was never in a million years going to write a sequel to The Colour White? Well...I lied. Only, I didn't know I was lying. Out of all the people who asked for a sequel, it ended up being my friend Citrine who said, "You should write a sequel AND what if Beyond does..." And all I could think was, that's actually a really good idea; I could do something with that. So, I started developing the idea and this was born. This chapter is just the short prologue, but the next chapter will be much longer. I hope for this to be as good or almost as good as The Colour White, which I consider to be one of my better fics.
Anyway, thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed, and please please please review!
