During Miracle Day. My first drabble! Ever!

Wondering
Esther helped an ashen-faced Jack into the tiny room. They had traveled long and hard to reach the safe house. He gritted his teeth and sank onto the bed, grimacing. Esther opened his shirt, changed the bloody bandage, and gave him pain meds. He succumbed to exhausted sleep.
Spending two months in intimate closeness with Jack had inflamed her imagination. She wondered if he would know if she stole a kiss. Kneeling at his side, stilling his restless movements, she kissed his lips, lingering, inhaling his breath.
She turned away from him, spoke one word softly, "Wow."
Jack smiled.
