It was just one of those days, nothing much to do. As always, when a day like this came the only thing naruto had on his mind? Ramen! Naruto had decided to treat himself to some ichiraku ramen as a reward for a job well done on yet another A rank mission. He was used to these kinds of missions and found nothing special about this one; he just used it as an excuse to satisfy his noodle cravings.
He was on the way there when suddenly, he was stopped by sakura, "hey naruto! Where ya goin' tsunade has another mission for use!" shouted the pink haired beaut. 'Awe great what now?' naruto thought as he dragged his feet to his impatiently waiting friend. 'it better not be something trivial, I got ramen to eat'.
As they were walking naruto decided to break the silence, "hey what's this new assignment?" naruto unenthusiastically. "I'm as much in the dark as you are" replied his teammate. " I just hope it's not some stupid escort mission or something irrelevant like that" he said thinking back to the countless escort missions he had done with some of his other comrades while waiting for more exciting work to come around.
"I know it's hard for you, but please try to keep your cool when you're in seeing lady tsunade today. Shes in a bit of a pissy mood" sakura firmly said. "You know me better than that; I know how to handle delicate situations." That was a joke. "Yea we all know that…" sakura thought back to all the times he had outbursts when delicacy was needed.
The two had finally made their way to the hokages office and went inside. They climbed up the stairs and knocked on the godaimes large wooden door. Shizune had opened it and welcomed them in. also standing in the room was shikamaru, ten ten, neji, choji, ino, hinata, shino, kiba, lee, sai and a few other shinobi.
"Hey what are you guys doing here?" asked naruto. "It's a drag, but all of us are being sent on a mission or something right lady hokage?" shikamaru stated in his lazy voice. "Precisely" that was tsunade with a serious look on her face.
'jeez whats with her?' naruto thought to himself. "Now that we're all here are you going to tell us the mission?" ten ten asked intentivly. Sshe had wished that she had the day off to try and flirt with neji as she often did, but she was still happy to be able to service her village. "Yes about that" tsunade actually had a smile on her face. "You will be going to a camp up in the mountains for a while to do some repairs, AND if you happen to finish early, I might allow you to stay a bit longer for some R&R down by the beach".
That had everyone feeling a bit more enthusiastic. "ALRIGHT GRANNY!" naruto's shout had everyone putting their hands on their ears. "Yes, thank you naruto. Now, you have about 4 hours to pack and be on the road. But remember, repairs first, relax later". "Hai!" the group said in unison. Everyone then flashed out of view off to go pack for the new journey.
Naruto rushed home excited as could be. Sure he had to do some work but this would be the first time in a while since he got to just relax and hang out at the beach with his friends. 'and if im lucky, I might see the girls in bikini's'naruto thought to himself with a sly smirk on his face. He had unfortunately had inherited some of the pervy-sages habits from their time together training. Jaraiya had often taken him on his peeping escapades and sometimes even let him go drinking with him too.
Naruto rummaged his closet for some clothes that weren't all covered in ramen soup and soy sauce. He managed to find a few of his trade marked orange and black jumpsuits with the addition of some more recreational street clothes. He tightly packed all his supplys and headed off to the village gate.
