AN: Hey ya'll. I just want to say that I don't own Young Wizards…. If I did I wouldn't be writing on this site. Also, Dairine/Roshaun pairings are awesome!
Warning: This is probably one of the sappiest things I've ever written….
This is my first fanfiction on this site, so go easy, please?
Dairine paused in the middle of writing the invitation. Should I invite him? she thought. It's what I probably should do. He did invite us to help with the Festival of the Sun. But if he comes I'll have to get around the fact that I-No, not now. Invite him first, deal with that later. She finished the message and sent it to the new king of Wellakh.

Roshaun stirred slightly in his throne. Though it had been several of his months since Dairine's visit, there were still murmurs and rumors of the joining between their world and another, equally great one. He smiled slightly. Dairine had taken the idea badly. If she only knew what he felt for her…
His 'manual' twinged a bit, signaling that he had a message. It was from Dairine.
Roshaun,
We're having a celebration of sorts at the house in a few days. It's called Christmas. It's not as fancy as the Festival of the Sun or anything, but I'd really like it if you came.
Dairine.
Christmas… he tried to remember what was so special about the holiday and couldn't
Dairine, he sent through his 'manual,' What is the significance of Christmas?
The answer came almost immediately. It's pretty hard to explain, but I'll send a bit of reading from the manual to you. It should be everything you need to know and then some. You're coming, then?
Yes, he sent back. Thank you.
Many light years away, Dairine smiled as she closed her manual. He was coming. I just hope I can shield my thoughts from him. If I can't it'll be embarrassing, to say the least.

Kit and Nita smiled as Dairine entered from the kitchen, finally done with the food. It was only an hour or so before Roshaun would arrive.
"Is Helena coming?" she asked Kit.
"No. Didn't expect her to though. She decided to go to church instead. Mama and Pop are coming though. Speaking of that, Nita and I have to go get something for them. You gonna be okay hanging up the mistletoe?"
"Yup. Just hope you two don't get distracted and get stuck under some mistletoe for a couple of hours while you're out." Nita and Kit glared, and left her to struggle with the mistletoe.
It wasn't surprising when an hour later, tangled with the stuff, that she didn't hear Roshaun's entrance in the backyard. He didn't bother to knock, and came in to find Dairine struggling with the mistletoe. He went to her immediately, and carefully helped her disentangle herself from the mess and helped her down from the ladder.
Then, in an act he didn't think himself capable of, he hung the mistletoe above their heads and did the unthinkable. He kissed her. Though their worlds were different, they had the kiss in common. And boy was it a kiss!
"You know, Dairine," he commented softly, "the part on mistletoe was my favorite."
She smiled, and kissed him again.
"Merry Christmas."
