Peace flashed her smile in their direction,

And disappeared just as quickly.

All nations that saw her,

Felt desire stir their hearts.

The eldest nations at the time,

Searched and expanded to all the lands,

But still did not find her.

Exhausted, penniless, and growing old,

It was not then until they saw her,

But by then the others had caught her eye as well,

Each nation struggled to catch her,

But caught only War instead.

France and England,

Both young at the time,

Agreed that they would share her.

But bliss turned into suspicion,

And naiveté turned into skeptisim.

And when Peace appeared at their doorsteps again,

War came soon after.

Fickle nations they were,

With War in their hearts,

Peace was soon forgotten.

War flirted around with both nations,

Taunting and teasing them into pieces.

England found America

America found Peace,

Peace introduced War,

And War found a new lover.

England and his love affair with War

And France's affairs with War in love,

Linked the nations together.

Once again, the prospect of keeping Peace for themselves

Dawdled from nation to nation,

Until all of Europe held guns to each other's faces,

And when a single shot rang out,

War broke the silence soon after.

Europe, torn to bits, by War's needs,

Proposed a plan to make Peace stay.

But Peace refused the offer.

Germany claimed he captured Peace.

The nations, scared of destroying Peace,

Scrambled to appease

Not realizing all the while,

That it was not Peace Germany kept by his side,

But War, revealed long after.

War and Germany, Germany and War,

Ravaged Europe once more.

Until the nations cried out,

For the help of War's secret lover.

War, as faithless as ever,

Skirted back to her lover,

Under the masquerade as Peace.

The other nations by now,

Saw through War's false façade,

Tried to warn the young nation,

But by then, it was too late.

The Soviet Union and America, both vied for War's attentions

Through competing their strength, skill and knowledge

But the vixen just ridiculed both,

And never loved either for long.

With age came wisdom,

And with wisdom came age,

When the USSR saw through War's mask,

War dismantled him soon after.

War needed affection.

War had power.

America needed power.

America had affection.

Where is Peace?

England knows.

France knows.

Russia knows.

America cannot find her.

Just something I came up with randomly. There's not supposed to be much of a rhyme scheme and I just wanted to do something a little different.

Gack. I know I haven't added any more to Whiteboard, but it is finals right now and technically I shouldn't have even done this… .
