As Ikuto finally returned home to Amu, but to his surprise Amu wasn't happy with him returning at midnight and she had no idea he'd been out wondering around aimlessly all night! Amu gave him a stern look as she thought he'd been out with another girl but Ikuto wasn't a cheater he was a cat so he told her "I know that look, it's the last look the guy gets before he's dumped isn't it? So I shouldn't be seeing that look, I've got one heart that is settled for one girl." But Amu gave him a blank look so he said "that's you by the way." He hugged her sweetly and kissed her forehead.
As Ikuto lay sprawled out on the bed half asleep Amu stroked his hair then took her fingers away quickly as his cat ears popped out along with his tail yet he was still half asleep and Amu could tell by the way his tail was twitching. Amu put her fingers on his nose and ran them into his hair and all the way down his back to the tip of his tail she done this a few times carefully minding his ears as she had learnt to do from previous experience with ear-touching. As Amu thought he was asleep she said "I love you MY cat, my big perverted, loving cat, good night Ikuto." And she kissed his ear without realising Ikuto heard every word and they sunk in as he said to Amu in her sleep "I don't mind being a cat as long as I'm YOUR cat not a stray left behind without love as I was before I met the love of my life, goodnight Amu, my little strawberry."
