"What are you doing?" Roxas looked up, surprised at the voice.

"Namine?" He asked, trying not to sound as sad as he really was. She smiled.

"Yes... But really, why are you just sitting here?" She looked around the darkened room. "All alone..." She sighed and walked over to the window. Pulling the curtains to the sides, she let light spill out over the room as well as the boy sitting in it. She put her hands on the windowpane and sighed, looking out onto the neighborhood. "What's wrong?"

"What do you mean?" He asked, pretending not to know.

She looked back at him, now leaning against the window, and shrugged. "I don't really know, I guess. I mean... you just didn't seem as... happy as usual. That's all."

"No, it's nothing like that." He was almost happy just knowing that she cared, or even noticed when he tried so hard to hide it.

"Then what is it?" Her voice was quiet, and Roxas looked up at her.

He smiled. "Nothing."

She moved away from the window and sat next to him on the ground. "Roxas... You can–"

"It's nothing." He smiled at her again.

"If you want to convince me, stop smiling."

"What do you mean?" He asked, genuinely confused.

"Well," She turned, facing the other way, but leaning back against his shoulder. "It's not an honest smile, and it looks so empty... Seriously, though. What's on you're mind?"

He sighed. How was he supposed to explain it to her? There wasn't any easy way to do it. "Do you wanna play a game?" Namine sat up, and looked at him, confused, but seeing his expression she smiled.

"Sure."

"You know how to play who am I?" She shook her head. "It's really easy. Basically, you say things like, I'm the one who lost the glass slipper. And they have to guess who it is. You can use up to five clues, and if you don't get it then, you lose."

"Okay. You go first."

"Okay. I'm the kid who waited for forever."

"Um... Sleeping Beauty?"

"No. I'm the best friend who loved the oblivious girl."

"I don't know. More clues."

"Okay. I'm the one who helped her cry." She shook her head, trying to rake her brain for someone that fit all the clues. "The kid who watched her with other boys, and the kid she talked to about them."

"I don't know, but it sounds really sad."

"It is." Roxas said, not sure if he wanted Namine to figure out... that it was him he was talking about...

"Last clue?"

"I'm the kid in front of you." Namine was taken aback. She looked around the room, turned back to Roxas and shrugged.

"There's nobody else here." She smiled. "So tell me, who was it?" Sighing, Roxas turned again to face her and gently kissed her. She made no motion, simply accepted the kiss, and let it pass as he moved. She looked at him, and then looked away. "I guess you win."

"Yeah.. I guess..."

It was quiet, both of them were thinking. Until, "Roxas, why didn't you just tell me?"

"I couldn't."

"Why not? I don't get it. Things will never get better if you don't try."

"But if you don't try, they'll never get worse." She looked at him almost angrily for a minute then paused, and averted her gaze.

"I'm the girl who wanted to know."

He sighed. "Nami–"

"I'm the girl who waited for him to say something. I'm the one who tried to get over him by seeing other guys. The girl who cried when she broke up with them, because she loved him too much, and then told only him, because he's the only one she trusted. The girl who just got kissed by the boy she's loved forever."

Silent, for a moment, Roxas reflected on all that she had just said. The things she had put him through... were all because of things he had subconsciously been doing to her. "Namine..."

"Wow," She said, fighting back tears, and laughing a little. "Look at that, you win again." Smiling, Namine leaned back again, against his arm once more. He kissed her head and they both smiled.

"Yeah. I've never lost."
