Well, here is the second Part of my Quartet. If you haven't read "A Strange Reuniting Part One: The Evil Prince", please read that first. It will not make sense if you don't. I know that I said two weeks, but meh... I was bored. I hope you like!
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own LoZ. This stands for the whole story.
Oh, and this starts immeadiately after the last chapter in Part One. Enjoy!
Prologue
Zelda's eyes fluttered open in the morning light. She could feel Link's warmth next to her, and smiled at the memories of last night. She had never known about her true feelings for him, until last night. Her father would kill her for laying with a man before she was wed, but he was, sadly, no longer part of her life.
She slowly got up, trying not to wake the sleeping form beside her. She quietly gathered her clothes, washed her face in the little stream nearby, and dressed. When she was done, she sat on a nearby rock, silently waiting for her lover to awaken.
When a shadow fell across her back, she turned with a smile on her face, expecting to see Link. It was not he who stood behind her, though. Zelda almost screamed.
"Rore!" She hissed, surprised, "What are you doing here? How did you find us?"
"You must come with me." Rore said, extending her hand.
"No." Zelda eyed her with distrust, "Now answer my questions."
"Very well." Rore heaved a huge sigh, realising that she'd have to reveal herself as the Goddess of Courage, "I can sense Link. I came to him, hoping that he could tell me where you were. I must take you to a place of safety. It is no longer safe for you to remain with the Hero of Time. At least, for a time. He has a quest to complete."
"I'm not leaving him." Zelda said defiantly, "What if he needs me?"
"He will." Rore said, and Zelda opened her mouth, "Now, listen to me. You will be able to go to him when that time comes. But, for the while, you must remain hidden. The fate of Hyrule rests on your fate. If you are attacked and killed, then Hyrule shall fall to the Shadow God."
"I don't believe you." Zelda said, her voice like ice, "Who are you, really?" Still, Link slept on. Zelda thought that the sound of their voices should have woken him by now.
"He won't wake." Rore said suddenly, startling her, "He is under a spell. I am Farore, the Goddess of Courage." Zelda laughed.
"Sure, and I'm Liadan, the Queen of the clouds." Zelda giggled, refering to an ancient Hyrulian fairytale, "Sorry if I don't believe you."
"Do you see this mark?" Farore asked, putting out her left hand, "The mark of the Triforce of Courage? I am the essence of that part of the Triforce. I am Farore."
Zelda looked at her hand in shock. Indeed, the mark of the Triforce of Courage glowed brightly on the back of her hand.
"Your Greatness." Zelda scrambelled to her knees before the Goddess, "Forgive me."
"Stand up, Zelda." Farore said, an almost tired edge to her voice, "Come with me."
Zelda now knew that she had no choice. She would have to leave Link here, alone. Tears begun running down her cheeks, like last night. She silently stood, and followed the Goddess deftly through the terrain, and they disappeared into a nearby forest. She was not told why she must leave him.
After a time, Link stirred.
Well, review, please?
