I've never writing them before but I'm absolutely in love with the Violet/Tate relationship. There's just something about them. Of course this is before we know what is going to happen in episode 11 (I'm so super anxious about it) and her parents know about her death but I hope you guys like it.
Sometimes, she would forget. Forget that she wasn't really alive. But it felt so real. She could appear whole and complete and hold things in her hands and feel them. Yeah, she could hold and move things when she was hidden, hidden to where only the other trapped souls could see her, but something about appearing there, like she really was alive made it… weird. And that's when she would forget.
She would forget to disappear. Her mom or dad would walk in and glimpse at her for half a second, but it was enough, and they would do a double take just in case, and their minds would fill with false hope.
But by the time the hope had even begun to swim in their heads, Tate would rush in, pull Violet around the corner and out of sight, pull her back to the reality that she wasn't supposed to be there anymore. And tears would trickle in her parents' lifeless eyes and they would wonder if they had actually seen her; or if the hole that had been dug into their hearts would ever begin to heal; or that maybe they were just going crazy all over again.
Tate would kiss Violet's rose petal lips before whispering against them, "You forgot." and chuckle. He would hold her hand as they walk up the grand staircase and into the attic where they would play chess or cards and Tate would let her win (even though most of the time, Violet really was winning. He just liked his version better) and for a moment in time, they were alive, in the most boring and incredible way.
