Geek love au:

Hey guys I got this idea from the web series called geek love, but I thought it would be some geeky hiccstrid goodness.

Hiccup sat down on one of the chairs sweating in his ass off. He should have been cool, after

+ all he was only wearing a short jacket and scarf. His Natsu dragneel cosplay was sure to impress some girls at comic con speed dating, that he was sure of otherwise it was a waist of all the party's his cousin Snotlout had tried to drag him to. "C'mon lil bro" Snotlout had said giving him a way to hard punch in the arm "I can get you some majorly hot chicks! Dude you know that girl what's her name Hanna? No wait, Heather! She been asking about you" Snotlout said hopping from foot to foot as he slicked his hair back. in hiccups opinion Snotlout looked dumb in a white tank top three sizes tow small so that his rugby player like build made up for the fact that his weed of a cousin was taller than him.

But it was worth it because his costume was epic. Every detail was perfect he'd even cut his hair and dyed it a temporal hot pink, he'd also been to the gym to get that Natsu dragneel 'lean but powerful look' and he'd nailed that, and sure some people may say that it was stupid, getting up early to paint a tattoo on his arm and add the finishing touches to his hair but they were wrong.

"Hey hiccup yo man c'mon" Fishlegs said waving a hand in front of hiccups face.

"Huh?" hiccup grumbled looking over at his friend who was sitting next to him. Fishlegs had dressed up as Mario from the super Mario games that he and hiccup played as kids. You see hiccup use to be the rich kid that no one liked on his street. He was ether to skinny or not fast enough to play football. He did however own a N64 with two controllers. So over the years even as fishlegs got his first girlfriend and hiccup got other game consoles they always met up to play legend of Zelda majora's mask, super Mario or in later years intense halo 4 tournaments.

"You're nervous aren't you?" Fishlegs teased adjusting his cap and twiddling the ends of his moustache. Hiccup rolled his eyes an was about to make a clever retort when suddenly all the girls entered the room. Hiccup looked at them all. There was one dressed as Zelda, she seemed cool and someone else was dressed as doctor who. Then he saw her. She was beautiful, she completely took the breath from his lungs and he found himself staring at her like a fool. Her stunning golden hair was put up and her amazing blue eyes made contact with his emerald green eyes. He raised his hand and gave her a small wave and she gave a small wave back.

And the best part was out of all the characters she could of cosplayed as…. She had cosplayed as Lucy heartfilia.

"Alright everybody" the man in charge said into a mic, he as grinning like a fool and dressed as a jedi master "so here's how it's going to work all you fangirls and fanboys are going to sit across from each other and get to chat for three minutes then when I say switch you girls get up and move along. Now you may also notice that you have a clipboard you make sure to write down to number of the people you like okay? It important" after making a few more jokes he told the girls to sit down in fount of a boy. Hiccup knew deep down that the Lucy girl probably won't sit in front of him. She'd probably sit in front of the guy who had dressed up as bane. Stupid bane, with his stupid arms the size of tree trunks. He'd always liked joker better anyway.

She sat down in front of him. Holy shit.

She had to stop himself from passing out. She looked at him with those blue eyes.

"And may your dating be prosperous" there was silence "that means begin" straight away everyone started chatting with the person in front of them.

"So…. Natsu huh?" she asked him, he panicked for a moment before calming himself down.

"Yes Miss Heartfilia… unfortunately happy could not join me" she gave a little laugh… and hiccup loved it, it was like an additive poison and he never wanted to go a day without hearing it again.

"So you have a pet?" she asked leaning in. he nodded

"Yeah, an overgrown black German shepherd called toothless" she raised her eyebrow at the strange name "it's a long story…" he replied "so do you have a pet too?" he asked and at that moment the worst thing happened… his voice cracked. It hadn't happed in years so why was it happing now.

He looked up at her to see that she had her hand over her mouth in a vain attempt to hide her laugh, but failing miserably.

"Yeah, yeah laugh it up" he said sarcastically…so she did.

"But yes I have a majestic bull dog called stormfly" she said though fits of laughter. He cocked his eyebrow at the unusual name and she rolled her eyes. "It's a long story…" there was a little bit of awkward silence before he took a deep breath

"So what sort of anime do you like?" he asked and her eyes lit up from excitement.

The chat went for what felt like forever, and by the end of the three minutes they were allowed they already had a few inside jokes and hiccup knew her like the layout of a legend of Zelda dungeon.

"Three, two, one switch!" the guy yelled and she stood up and walked away to bane. Hiccup ginned as he wrote down the number.
