My first BH 6 fanfiction! Finally watched the movie last week and I just cannot get over my feels Still in denial about Tadashi, so I wrote this to comfort myself, hope you guys enjoy it!

(Sorry if the characters seem OOC, and for any spelling/grammatical errors. It's past midnight over here and I wrote this in about an hour hehe, will check again before updating the next chapter which will hopefully be soon, depending on how much you guys like this ^^)

THE DAY OF

"This is 52-03, we have a young male, severe burn victim barely conscious ETA 12 minutes"

"52-03, I'm sorry but SF Memorial is already at full capacity with everyone from the SFIT fire. Could you call an emergency chopper and take the him to San Antohama General? They have a much better burn unit as well" An obviously tired dispatcher replied the call of the ambulance.

"Roger dispatch. Will do." The paramedics were concerned about their patient but they knew they had no other choice. "I'm so sorry buddy, just hang in there okay?"

And that was how Tadashi Hamada ended up at San Antohama General Hospital, two counties over from San Fransokyo, for the next 8 months.

EIGHT MONTHS AFTER

"Hiro! Where exactly do you think you're going young man?"

Hiro winced as he heard Aunt Cass call him out. So much for sneaking past her. "Uh… I'm just going down to upgrade some stuff for school?" Half of it was technically kind of true, he was going to upgrade Baymax and himself- to their superhero outfits so they could head a up north a little to help out with a bank robbery in San Antohama.

"Uh-huh sure. Come up here now Hiro."

"But…"

"Now."

Sighing, he turned to climb back up the stairs to the living room (so close!) but of course he had to stub his toe on the rail. "Ow dammit!" he shouted, only to immediately realise his mistake. "Oops oh crap I didn't mean that. I'm fine, I'm satisfied with my care, Baymax. No Baymax don't don't activa-"

Too late.

"Hiro, I heard a sound of distress. What seems to be the problem?" The robot, blissfully unaware of its surroundings, activated from its little red carrying case.

"Nothing. You didn't hear anything Baymax. I am extremely satisfied with my care so goodbye."

"I will scan you now," Baymax emitted its familiar whir and it scanned its primary patient. "Scan complete. You seem to have a slight epidermal abrasion and light bruising on your left foot."

"HIRO. When I say now, I mean now. What exactly do you think you are, wait, BAYMAX? What are you- this isn't a school project is it Hiro?" Aunt Cass stood at the head of the staircase only to see her nephew hurriedly trying to shush his robot and stuff it back into its case.

Baymax continued happily, ignoring the interruption by Aunt Cass, "I recommend an anti-bacterial spray. I have stored your preferred spray as the one made of bacitracin. Would you like me to administer it to you?"

"Hiro?"

"Okay look Aunt Cass, there's a bank robbery over in San Antohama and the police asked us if we want in, apparently the SWAT team there is busy or on course or something so we might be needed to help with-"

"You can't even walk around the house without injuring yourself and you want to fly two counties over on your robot to happily walk into a bank robbery?"

"Well I wouldn't have hurt myself if you hadn't made me turn back to talk to you. Besides, I'll be in my suit and with Baymax and the others. I'll be fine."

"Do not worry Aunt Cass, Hiro is my primary patient and I will not let him endanger himself, and will try to prevent any further injuries as far as I can."

Aunt Cass was as agitated- if not more- as the night she had to bail the boys out from their bot-fighting arrest all those months ago, but she knew that there was no way Hiro was going to stay home that night. After all, his robot companion had a point- its primary focus was Hiro's well-being. If Baymax could save Hiro and the gang from a villain with an army of microbots and a teleportation portal, a bunch of bank robbers won't be able to inflict that much damage, right?.

Right?

"Fine." She relented, "But if I have to bail you out of jail again or go see you in the hospital, you will be in huge trouble, you understand? And this goes for the both of you."

"I am a robot. I cannot be arrested."

"Urgh."

"Yay thank you Aunt Cass! We'll take care, I promise! Anyway I've updated Baymax so he can send you hourly reports of our situation, okay? Bye!" Hiro gave his aunt a quick hug before grabbing Baymax and running down to the garage to change before she could change her mind.

- Two hours later -

The team landed in front of the San Antohama branch of Goldkey National Bank, a bank used almost exclusively by those whose bank account figures were larger than the number of programmes Baymax had installed in his chips- and that was including the numerous upgrades Hiro had done since the whole incident with Callaghan.

'Guys, a short trip around town is okay, but do we really need to fly for two counties? Can't we like take the bus or something?" Terrified-of-heights Wasabi was looking a bit more worse for wear than the rest of the team, his face almost matching the green of his suit.

"Why, so we can arrive next week and miss all the action? Geez Wasabi, woman up." Go Go rolled her eyes at her team mate.

"Wasabi, you seem slightly scared and nauseous. Common treatments include-"

"Big Hero 6? I'm Chief Royston, SAPD. Gosh I've heard so much about you, thank you so much for coming all the way up here for us," Baymax's usual healthcare rambling was cutoff by the chief of the SAPD as he came up to talk to the team. "Okay so it's essentially a pretty normal situation, just that all the walls are made of thick concrete and the robbers have blacked out the audio-visual system so we have no way of getting eyes or ears in the place."

"Pshh only concrete? They are no match for these!" Wasabi, having recovered from the flying, proudly activate his laser-induced plasma blades.

"I am detecting 18 life signatures in the building. Three seem to be active and walking around, while 15 are sitting on the floor in a circle in what appears to be the center of the room." Baymax reported just a second later.

The chief was taken aback at first, but immediately glad that he had called in the team. "Wow, in two minutes of your arrival you guys have already gathered more recon than my men in 4 hours. Anything more you can help us with?"

From then on, it was the usual stuff for the team. Wasabi and Go Go broke down the walls, Honey Lemon trapped the robbers with her little chemical bombs as Fred, quite literally, bounced around (and also checked his bank balance because why wouldn't he have an account at Goldkey?), and Baymax and Hiro helped the paramedics tend to the hostages.

It was supposed to be a normal ride home too, until, just before flight, Baymax said something that had never been said in well over six months.

"Tadashi is here."

Whew! Hope I didn't mess up the character too much, I really am hoping to keep them canon and in character (except for Tadashi of course). Review and tell me how I did? How to improve, whether I should continue this or move on with life… Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated but no flames please!
