Chapter One:

"It was decided a long time ago that you two shall meet again."

It was winter time and snow was falling. Alittle girl had been crying for a short time, the little boy who was her brother, could do nothing to stop her from crying. They were at a day-care center but her brother decided that they should wander around the garden (where the flowers have wilted) since the other kids won't play with them. That was not a problem for both of them,

But while playing and running with each other, since it was slippery because the floor was covered with ice, the little girl accidentally tripped her feet causing her to fall from an edge; hurting herself and scraping both of her knees.

"Come on Dora-chan, let's just go to the clinic. It won't be so bad." her brother pleaded.

"No!" She swayed her head furiously. "No! No! Alcohol!"

The little boy sighed and thought of something. If he'll bring her back to the nursery, surely she'll hate him and he'll also hate himself for that.

"Don't go anywhere Dora-chan okay? Onii-chan will just get something okay? Here, eat this candy and don't cry anymore. Okay?" He patted her head gently. The girl nodded her head slowly and tried to surpress her tears and hiccups.

The little boy ran and left her at a nearby bench. But since she's a little kid, she couldn't just sit there and wait, her curious mind should find something to confine her boredom.

Hoping for her brother not to comeback early, she jumped out the bench but felt a sting from her wound.

"Aww!" She hissed but then continued wandering around. "Pretty!" She smiled and run at the unusual colored ice stone. She was about to pick it up when the ice stone suddenly became big and shiny. It was like a galaxy full with stars and colors. She smiled widely and jumped with excitement. The big ice stone was as big as herself and so, she stepped into it and her head became dizzy. Her mind went black.

"Ughhh..." The little girl rubbed her eyes. Sweat dropping from her forehead. "Hot..." She whispered. Feeling irky, she took of her winter coat, mittens and ear mufflers. Piling it on one side.

She knotted her forehead, "Spring?" She tilted her head on one side. As far as she could remember, it was winter where her brother left her.

She looked around hoping to find the bench she was sitting on awhile ago, but she failed on finding it, instead she saw a little different bench. It was made from stone and it has beautifully carved markings. She then realized that she's not on the same place as she was before. Here is full of fully-bloomed flowers, bushes, tall trees and pebbles.

Feeling lost and her wound started to sting, she cried out loud hoping that her brother would hear her and rescue her.

"Onii-chan! Onii-chan!" She was again about to wander and look for him when she heard something behind the bushes at her side. "Ugghh... Onii-chan?"

"Who are you?! Ack! A So-soukoku!" It revealed a little boy with blonde hair and green eyes. His clothes were a bit dirty and his hair got some leaves but his face is okay, if he was not too shock and his eyes was not too wide.

The little girl's cries was stopped. "Huh?"

The boy moved closer to her, he looked like same as old as her brother.

"What are you doing here? To whom noble child are you?" The boy asked with a puzzled tone. "I- I am so sorry for my rudeness my lady. I am Wolfram, the third son of the current Maou, Her Majesty, Queen Cacilie von Spitzweg." He knelt down and bowed his head.

She was just three and she could only answer some familiar questions that she could understand. To be honest, she didn't really understand him with such formalities. The blonde never did look at her and stayed at his usual spot.

She then again knotted her forehead and tapped the boy- who was called Wolfram, at his shoulder.

"Hm? Mister why are you like that?" She asked and Wolfram looked up at her. Sucking her thumb like a baby, she asked again, "Mister, do you know where I can find my brother? Do you know where the day-care center is?" She knew that it was bad to talk with strangers but she thinks that this one is harmless since this boy looks like a pretty little... "Cotton candy." She whispered and tried to ruffle the hair of the boy but held her hand tight.

"Huh?" Wolfram said with confusion, he stood from his place and looked at the young girl. She was small and has that big puppy black eyes. "Day...Care..?"

She nodded, "Yes, it's where the children and babies play together you know. Cotton Candy!" She remarked and gave up on helding her hand and so she gave him a big mess to his hair.

"...Cotton Candy? No, no, not that. Stop." He shoved away the hand gently and regained his composure. "What are you talking about..."Wolfram tried to answer that question of hers, surely, he won't fail infront of a soukoku. "Hm... Ah!" He remembered something. "Are you referring about the presentation of the children and the babies at the Shinou Temple my lady? I have the hunch that you have lost your way there."

"Preseng...Tey..." Lost in words, Wolfram lead her to the stone bench, though it was kind of hard for her to reach the bench, Wolfram lifted her and sat beside her.

"Yes, it is where all the children ages infant to fifteen years old where presented to the Great King Shinou." He smiled and looked up the sky.

The little girl wondered, how come that his hair is so bright that it matches the sun and his eyes was so deep green that it looks like it representing the trees. Like Heaven and Earth.

"Then why are you here?" The little girl asked.

Wolfram raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about my lady? I am but aa thirthy-one year old boy." He said bluntly.

The girl's jaw literaly dropped. "Th-thirty-one?"

"I'll be asking you that same question my lady. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the temple already? And even if you are lost, you still chose to sit with me. By the looks of it, you're fifteen. Am I wrong?"

The little girl was shocked. Sure enough that she was just three but she somehow know that this isn't the right age for her or for him.

"But I am only... Three years old." She said while displaying three of her fingers before his eyes.

Wolfram looked at her with disbelief. For his side, how come that she's only three when she's that big already.

"I am sorry but what is your na-" Wolfram's words was cut short when someone yelled his name.

"Wolf! Wolfram my Honey dear, where are you?" A woman called out from a nearby place. Wolfram jumped out the bench with the little girl and ducked down from one of the thick bushes.

"Mother. Don't say anything. Be quiet. Don't move either." He whispered.

"Shhh..." The little girl pressed her lips at her index finger.

"Shhh..." Wolfram mirrored her.

##

They were able to hide from that woman. "Why are you hiding from her? Isn't she your mama?" The little girl looked up at him.

"For now, I don't want to come with her. It maybe a sin not to go there at the temple but I know that Shinou gave me this mission to guard this lost soukoku. He has entrusted me this great task. I won't ask anymore questions about you and your identity. Your black hair and black pure eyes proves that you are so much important." With Wolfram walking at the pavement stones, the little girl just nodded her head.

"Okay." She said happily, distracted by the pretty stones that she's stepping on.

"So, where do you want to go?" Wolfram asked as he blocked the way of the girl.

Confused, the little girl looked around and thought of something, "I wanna see pretty pictures!"

##

Wolfram has decided to take her to the hall where many paintings of the Previous Maous were painted. He explained every inch and detail of the painting, but it seems that the little girl doesn't care about the details at all. She was awed by the "pretty" colors that was presented infront of her.

"...And this, the Great King Shinou who founded this Kingdom a very very long time ago." He pointed at the last painting that was hanged at the wall. It was a painting of a blonde man with aquamarine eyes. He stands with pride and confidence, all red and black, his sword thrusting onto the ground.

The little girl frowned and her eyes started to water, her heart started to scream.

"Hate!" She said and started to cry out loud. Wolfram panicked and at once tried to calm her, "Wh-why are you crying? Don't cry..." And before he could touch her, something caught her eyes.

Behind the young blonde man was a double-black, whose hair is long and eyes was dark. A sudden rush of emotion poured down from her soul back to her heart and once again she calmed down.

"...Onii...chan..." She said quitely. "Home..." She frowned.

##

They have decided that they should just play back to the garden. They both played hide and seek.

The little girl was to be found and Wolfram was the player. As sonon as Wolfram counted from one to thirty, the Little girl hid up to a tree. She was not really a tree-climber but she was too desperate to win this game.

"Engewaru!" A strange bird passed onto the sky.

"Are you ready?" Wolfram called out.

"Yes!" The girl answered all hyped up.

Wolfram then started to look for her. She giggled at the sight she's seeing right now. An agitated walking-cotton candy tries to find her behind a tree, under the bench or even behind the bushes.

But luck was not on her side today, her scraped knees that was not seen by her knee-length dress was brushed against the branch.

"Ouch!" She hissed. She did not remember that she has wounds at her knees.

The noise caught the attention of the boy. Wolfram looked up and saw her, he has gone beyond paled for she has suddenly lost her balance.

"Watch out!" Fortunately, before all things happened, Wolfram had calculated where she could have fallen.

The girl whose eyes was shut enough to hurt her own eyes was frozen with fear.

A warm embrace enveloped her, "Are you alright?" The blonde boy asked.

The girl peered up at him and realized that the boy had catched her. She couldn't help herself but to clung to his shoulders and cried out but it was not that loud, it was a cry full of tears and sobs.

##

"What you doing?" The little girl asked tilting her head on the other side.

Wolfram focused so well that he didn't even move just a single bit. He touched the unscraped part of both of her knees and san a soft lullaby to her. She listened intently and was rewarded by a warm presence.

"There! It's okay now." Wolfram huffed with pride and a smile was formed across his face.

"No alcohol? Wow..." The little girl clapped her hand. "Bravo! Bravo!"

Wolfram laughed at how the little girl jumped in delight. As when the girl was about to return the laugh, a blue glow suddenly enveloped the girl.

"What..." Wolfram's eyes widen and the little girl turned around to see the face of the boy.

"Ughhh..." She frowned.

Go home little one, say your good bye to him. The voice of a man inside the girl's head said.

"Ba-bye..." She suddenly uttered, waving her hand to him still blue light grew strong and Wolfram tried to reach her but he knew it will be too late.

"Wh-where are you going?" Wolfram asked still confused.

"Home." The little girl smiled litlessly. Wolfram looked around his surrounding and picked up a very perfect oval shaped pebble. He threw the pebble into her and the little girl caught it before she was gone into the thin air.

Wolfram looked down, hands was balled into fists. "...I don't even know your name."

The only thing that he remembered about her is the dark eyes that she have.

##

The pebble was dark gray and smooth, it mirrored her emotion at that same day and time. She was back at her place. Suprisingly, the clothes that she took off awhile ago was at her side. She quickly picked it up and put it on. It was again cold.

##

Wolfram opened his eyes and was blinded by the light from his window. A dream... He thought. How could he dream someone else's point of view?
