Sirius sat next to his godson's bed. He wanted to make sure he was there when his godson woke up, he wanted to talk to him. Rons words still in his head. He had told him about when he seen bruises on Harry, after they picked him up from his relatives house to stay with them for the summer. He couldnt believe it, how could they do that to a child, and to his GODSON!!
He had failed his godson for the last twelve years, he had failed James for the past twelve years. He wasnt there to protect Harry, from his own 'family'. He could have sobbed right then just thinking about it, they had hurt his godson. He was already afraid of Voldemort hurting Harry, or even worse, actually finishing the job he started twelve years ago. He vowed right then, nothing will hurt Harry, he is there now, he didnt have to hide, he could live out his duties and protect the one thing most important to him. His godson, he will protect that boy from everything, Voldemort, Death Eaters, EVERYTHING, even if it meant the loss of his own life, he will be there for his godson.
