Huffing out a small breath of air he turned to look at the plain black and white clock on the tan wall of the office. He sat on the dark cherry oak desk that matched the flooring, in the middle of the room, in line with the two doors on the North and the East walls was a thin, shaggy ugly green rug. He propped his upper half up by having both palms on the edge of the desk, fingers wrapped around; tapping.
About to nod off he shook his head, the red hair moving freely in front of his face. He took in another deep breath and waited still. Now he shifted in the suit some, the open jacket making it less constricting but the baton on his right was causing some distraction.
Finally there were footsteps behind the North door. The brass knob turned and with two timely foot steps the large black mass of a man had stepped out, his shades unnecessary in the florescent lit room. He closed the door and moved his hands to his chest; grabbing the jacket opening he moved it a bit for comfort. He smiled over at the boredom know to him as 'partner.'
"It's about time, I was about to take a nap."
"We have vacation."
"Vacation... I don't know what to do with myself then." Reno said standing up onto the rug. "What do you want to do?"
Rude shrugged tilting his head a little. "I heard about this new sunglasses shop..." Reno shook his head and opened the East door to the blinding light of the Sun. "It was just a suggestion."
Reno stepped out, his right hand on his brow shielding his eyes from the sun. He turned and looked down the street both ways, abound there were people talking, shopping at street vendors and just hanging out. Reno sighed. "Man, this little town's boring."
"You know, Shinra's got some nice new fireworks..."
"You don't say." Reno smiled and headed into the crowd, his partner close behind them. "They ah, they got any kick to them?"
"Let's just say, anyone within a couple hundred meters will feel a kick." Rude said stepping up next to him. They past a couple of blocks full of children playing and stopped at the end of the street where they had left something very important.
"Rude."
"Reno."
"I left the car unlocked..."
