"Alice!" I complained
She had taken me to the church to show me what she had done.
Alice frowned as I stared in horror, the church been completely redesigned into a Cinderella wedding. So much for my Anne of Green Gables fantasy.
It looked more along the lines of something the queen would get married in rather than me.
Alice will be Alice
"You don't like it." Alice asked. I could tell that she was hurt.
Whatever makes her happy, I reminded myself.
"No, of course I do Alice. I'm just shocked that you were able to pull all of this off."
My lie sounded fairly convincing.
She beamed, there was a hint of smugness on her face.
"I know, I'm good aren't I?"
I sighed. "The greatest."
Right on cue, the doors to the church opened.
Edward walked towards me, smiling, and kissed my cheek.
He looked around at the room, sighed and rolled his eyes. He took my hand and squeezed it lightly.
"Just two more days." he reminded me. His eyes were glowing with excitement.
I just nodded.
Surprisingly I wasn't dreading it so much anymore. I would just have to get through the ceremony, then Edward would have to complete his end of the deal.
"And I was thinking for the reception—"
Alice's babbling was interrupted by the sounds of footsteps approaching. The doors opened and we all turned to look at the beautiful girl who had entered the chapel.
