AN: The original version of this is slightly different. I had to alter it slightly to fit the characters and their ages. In the original version, it was just between two people, and the one who loves the girl was 10 years older then her….yeah, it's an idea. I fixed it in this. And this basically just goes on in one conversation, it's a bit more humor then I meant it to be, and it ends on a bit of a weird note, but I still hope you like it.

I also made this a look into how Atobe's relationship was between him and Sakuno at the beginning. About 4-5 months after her break up with Fuji. Although it is the view of Tezuka and Atobe. You could say it is a prelude to 'Let Her Go' and 'Loving Her', my other two one-shots. Please read those too.

Disclaimer: I don't own Prince of Tennis. If I did, this story would be in the manga, anime, musicals, movies, etc. Neither do I own Shrek 2 or Dreamworks.

"You can not be with her!" Tezuka stated fiercely, his eyes uncharacteristically blazing as he stared at the young man in front of him.

"Nande?!" Atobe exclaimed, outraged at the stoic buchou's sudden declaration.

"Why should Ore-sama not be with Sakuno-chan?"

"You just can't! You're three years older then her!"

"That's not a big deal, and it shall not be a problem once she is in high school!"

"What will you be by then? A senior! A college student after that, or maybe even the new head of your families company! Do you really think you can stay faithful to her that long? Or her to you?"

"Hai! Ore-sama trusts himself and Sakuno-chan!"

"Atobe-kun think of all the pressure from the media, fans, crazy psycho fan girls, and your families! You might be used to it, but she is not! They will discriminate her!"

"Ore-sama knows, but...,"

"You know, but you are still willing to put her through it?"

"…"

Tezuka heaved a great sigh. Tezuka knew that Atobe would do his best to protect Sakuno, but that was not the point. Atobe was like a protective dog, or a fiery stallion that jealously guarded its mare. This was one of those times when he must grant Atobe Keigo the wisdom he needed. Actually, more like force the wisdom down his closed throat.

Atobe was the type to be able to easily analyze others, usually in tennis matches, but he couldn't seem to grasp his own character.

He also could not seem to grasp the concept of love, and the many things it brought besides joy and pleasure. Was it really so hard to understand?

One look into the determined eyes of Atobe told Tezuka the answer. Yes, it was hard for him to understand. Atobe was used to getting his way, whether by earning it or simply asking. The idea that he could not hold love in his own hands was confusing to him.

Atobe could grasp, embrace, and touch Sakuno physically. He could understand the physical part of love, but the emotional part…the part that required his heart and soul was still something new to the young man.

It was also something that required more time then he could possibly give.

"This is one of those times Atobe-kun, when of those stupid old cliché sayings comes into play,"

"What saying would that be?"

"'If you love her, let her go'."

"…Baka. That is a really ridiculous saying. Where in Kami-sama's name did you get that?"

"One of Sakuno-chan's imported American movies."

"Shrek 2?"

"Hai."

"Damn Dreamworks."

AN: Sorry for its extreme shortness, and probably not good-ness. LOL. Anyways, I hoped you enjoyed. Please Read and review. I'm sorry, but I torture Atobe so much. Poor Atobe! (Huggles Atobe plushie)
