Me: Hey, this is Day 9 of my 25 days of Ficmas! My other fics (one is not up yet cuz I missed a day L) are from different fandoms and are up on my author-page-y-thingy. This is my first actual Thor fanfic, so be nice!

Christmas Tunes

You better watch out,

You better not cry,

You better not pout,

I'm telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Darcy hummed along as she strung tinsel about the small tree on her desk. Her phone had been churning out Christmas tunes all day, helping her get into the holiday spirit.

"Who is this Claus that they speak of, and why must we watch out for him? Is he dangerous?" Darcy sighed as she remembered the Asgardian "bluer brother" (AN: Shamelessly referencing my weird poem parody? Yes. Go check it out, it's weird enough) sitting in her office. SHIELD said that no one else would take Loki, so for the sake of her job, she would have to baby-sit. SHIELD could go suck a dick.

"Santa is a fictional character in Midgardian folklore who sends all the good children in the world presents and all the bad children coal." Loki wrinkled his nose.

"He doesn't seem like such a jolly person," he mumbled. Darcy hummed along to Mason Jennings's relaxed croons, and then strung fairy lights upon the tree in the next corner. On her chestnut waves was a bright red Santa hat and she wore a bright red jumper with a green striped long sleeve and forest green leggings on. The song ended, and Loki's brow furrowed again.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

With the kids jingle belling

And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

It's the hap -happiest season of all

With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings

When friends come to call

It's the hap - happiest season of all

"What makes the season so happy?" he pondered. Darcy scowled at him now, and paused the song.

"It's the season of giving and love and selflessness, which makes people happy." Loki nodded quietly after giving her reply some thought. Johnny Mathis sang about his marshmallows and ghost stories a little bit more, and Darcy began to string popcorn on thread for the third tree.

Mary, did you know

that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?

Mary, did you know

that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know

that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?

This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

"Was this baby boy a god? Were there gods on Midgard?" Loki asked, peaking in interest.

"No," Darcy clipped, hanging tiny ball ornaments on each tree.

"But he walked on water…" Loki interjected.

"Christmas is about a person that Christian people believe was the son of God being born. In the bible, it is said that he walked on water."

Hear the snow crunch

See the kids bunch

This is Santa's big scene

And above all this bustle

You'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells

It's Christmas time in the city

Ring-a-ling, hear them ring

Soon it will be Christmas day

"What does silver have to do with anything?" Loki asked again.

"It just does." Loki got up, picking up a ball ornament and hanging it off the tree.

"It's supposed to be like this, correct?"

"Yeah," she smiled. Then, in the spirit of goodwill, and in her appreciation of him at least trying to be nice , she plopped a Santa hat on his head. To her surprise he smiled softly at her.

"Do you feel my Christmas spirit?" he joked. She smiled brightly back.
