"Francis?"
"Hm?"
"I don't like your name."
That simple statement shocked the French nation. His boyfriend didn't like his name? What could that mean? He couldn't possibly change it, and what did it matter to Arthur? To be so rude like that was uncommon for him, especially out of nowhere.
The two have been dating for a while now, around five years. To put it simply, neither were expecting it yet it happened and so far, has turned out amazing.
"...Pardon?" the French nation questioned.
"I told you," Arthur crossed his arms, "I don't like you name. I want you to change it." Arthur had his head turned to the side, his gaze focused on the window sill. Francis set his book down in which he was in the middle of and sat up.
"What exactly would you like me to change it to, Arthur?" He asked, quite curious. He didn't know the other's intentions or the point of the arised conversation, but curious nonetheless.
"Hmph…" Arthur grumbled. Francis shook his head.
"If you want to make a statement such as that, s'il te plait, 'ave direct answers with y-"
"Kirkland." Francis blinked at the nation.
"...Quoi?" He tilted his head. Something in the back of his mind wormed his way to his lips, turning the corners up slightly. "You want me to 'ave your name?" Arthur closed his eyes and dug his hands into his pockets.
"Yes, I do." He pulled out a box, thrusting it in Francis' chest. "I want you to change your name to Kirkland."
Francis couldn't believe his ears and eyes. If one were to minch him, he would refuse the offer in order to keep this dream happening- only if it were one. He caught the box after Arthur withdrew his hand, looking it over. Finding the opening of the box,, he opened it, a simple silver band resting inside. He started to shake.
"A-Arthur…" He looked up at the other, whose face was still turned away.
"I've been thinking about it for quite a while and I knew you wouldn't, so I did… Don't even ask what it is because I know you know what it is." Francis smiled and gently pulled the ring out with shaky fingers. He looked it over only to discover their initials engraved inside. His heart burst with happiness and slipped it on his left ring finger. He looked at it, the sight still phenomenal to him.
"Oui," he gasped out through the tears, cascading down his face. His arms wrapped tightly around Arthur, nuzzling his face into his shoulder. "Bien sŭr." Arthur let the smile he'd been holding back form over his lips, resting his hand over Francis' arm.
"Good…" He rubbed the spot slowly, his other hand digging back into his pocket, pulling out another box. he flicked the box open and slipped his own ring on, his smile widening slightly before a deep frown.
"Francis?" he narrowed his eyes.
"Oui, amour?" Francis mumbled, tightening his arms around the other nation.
"...I'm not wearing a dress." With that being said, the Frenchman began ranting off how much the younger would look amazing in which resulted with a slap on the head and a blanket and pillow on the couch for him.
With that being said... this is some form of a filler I don't even... I role-played this just three days ago with a friend, but it was USUK and I wanted to publish something out of the blue and this is sweet and adorable I just couldn't help it. *squeals* FrUK it all, I do what I want. X3 Enjoy this for now... New stories should be coming soon... the least, once a month. Au revoir~
