It had been roughly a week after Calamity Ganon's demise. Hyrule was left barren and almost completely destroyed…. But it was safe at the very least. Unsurprisingly, news of Ganon's defeat spread like wildfire. Mass celebrations erupted in the small towns inside and near Hyrule.
Link and Zelda had kept a low profile since The Final Battle, and had began forming a close relationship, a very borderline romantic one to add. They stayed in towns and kept a tent handy as they travelled around Hyrule to gather an effort to rebuild the Lost Kingdom from the ground up.
They were sitting outside just after sunset one night and talking about the past (catching up one the events before the calamity) and the future (rebuilding Hyrule and Zelda's likely ascension to Queen).
"You know…", Zelda began "I always wondered about what we should do ourselves…". Link shifted nervously "We should keep staying low but encouraging people to move back to Hyrule after all that has transpired" he answered. Zelda nodded, and asked "And in the meantime?" Link and Zelda locked eyes. They suddenly had an affection rush going towards each other.
Then, out of nowhere Zelda leaned in and pressed her lips against Link's. He was stunned for a few seconds, but quickly went along with it. He put his hands around her waist and pulled her tighter. They became very passionate, noting their previous secret love for each other, had finally been shown. Zelda never wanted her and Link's First Kiss to end….
However, they were rudely interrupted by a sudden bright shine in the sky and a mini Earthquake. They broke a part to see the light pass through the roof of the Shrine of Resurrection. And after it did, there was a loud Explosion like sound than shook the landscape.
The young couple stared up at the shrine.
"What... what on earth was that?!" Zelda gasped.
"I don't know, but I'm going to see what it was" Link replied confidently.
"If you're going, I'm going too!" Zelda assured.
Deciding not to try convince to her otherwise, Link grabbed her hand, and activated the Sheikah Slate. He then set a travel corse for one of the shrines on the Great Plateau.
Daniel couldn't breathe, he struggled for air. For a few seconds, it was like this, and the next thing he knew, he felt air. He gasped it in like he had never breathed in his life. He was lying down under a strange looking ceiling.
After recovering from his shock, he went over what the hell just happened…
His Great Uncle's machine was faulty, and it somehow transported him to this strange location. He looked around, he was in what appeared to be a mysterious looking chamber with detailed walls, a terrible smell and a ominous blue light.
Daniel stood up, although slowly, his back hurt. His arms hurt. His Head hurt. His legs hurt. Everything just hurt.
Somehow, some of his possessions were lying around the chamber, had they travelled with him somehow?
Daniel got out of the bed-like structure and quickly gathered all of his stuff. A laptop, a Gamecube, a Wii U, a DS, his Plasma Gun (which he called a blaster) and a Flashlight, and put it in his bag (which also managed to make its way to this peculiar place) And made his way through the chamber out into its second room and towards what appeared to be the exit.
A small wall blocked his way out, but he climbed it his ease and went up some stairs before finally exiting the chamber.
It was dark outside, so he pulled out his Flashlight and turned it on. It was a powerful Light, so it illuminated most of his surroundings.
There was a path that led down to a large opening, it appeared to just be a massive open area.
He looked over the cliff and what a sight!
"Good Lord..." Daniel exclaimed (his first first words after waking up) as he stared in awe at the breath-taking view.
There was no life in sight. He made his way down the mountain via the path that led to the opening.
He passed a strange overhang of rocks, with what looked to be the remains of a campfire beneath it.
Daniel followed a damaged brick path, past a large lake and towards a large temple like structure.
Like the view, it looked magnificent, but it was pretty banged up, which admittedly hindered the amazement for him.
"Heh, the architects for the thing must've been pissed" Daniel mused.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a strange looking creature wielding what looked like a stone age style club.
Intrigued, Daniel sneaked closer, and upon further examination, noticed it was some kind Monkey-Pig hybrid.
However, Daniel accidentally stepped on a twig, snapping it and alerted the monster to his presence.
Soon, two more of them emerged from behind it.
Daniel panished, he grabbed his Blaster from his bag pointed it at the hybrid, and shot it.
The plasma bullet did mange to kill the bokoblin, but the other two became enraged and charged at Daniel.
Daniel panicked and ran for his life. Blindly shooting while running.
He didn't even realise, they didn't even chase him.
After about 5 minutes of running through the woods, he was convinced he had lost them.
"What...the hell were those things?! Daniel mumbled to himself.
After catching his breath, he look around at the dark trees and the scenery.
He turned his flashlight back on, but it's light was dim, it was most likely running low on batteries.
Then, he noticed something.
He was lost. VERY lost.
"ARGH, Son of a bi-" He hit his foot on a rock before he could finish, and he growled in pain.
He sat down on a rock to think of what the hell he should do.
But just then, he heard faint voices add footsteps. Daniel began feeling a little nervous and hit behind a tree for safety.
Just seconds later, he heard them speak.
"What could that have been?" A Male voice questioned.
"Whatever it was, it hasn't happened before" A Female one replied.
Daniel looked around him, trying to pinpoint where they were coming from. But to no avail.
Then his instinct took over, he could feel something approaching him from behind, and acted on impulse.
He spun around, pointed his blaster and shined his flashlight in the same direction.
Zelda and Link were startled, and Link pulled out his sword as a reflex.
Zelda looked quickly and realised he wasn't a moster, and any second now either he or Link would die.
"STOP, LINK DON'T!" Zelda cried. Link looked at her, then back at Daniel slowly.
He hesitated before lowering his sword.
Daniel causiously lowered his blaster.
He studied them and came to the conclusion that they were travellers or soomething like that.
"Who are you?" Link demanded. Zelda nudged his rib.
"Don't be rude!" She mouthed at him.
Daniel hesitated, should he tell them?...yes.
"Daniel O'Rawe".
