A/N: I am not a fan of Creed, I just happen to like this song and it has some of the best lyrics I know. This is my very first Harry Potter fan fiction and my very first Song fic on ff.n so please please, please be kind. James Potter smiled down at the small figure sleeping in the crib. Little Harry had now completely changed his life. James lifted his hands and prayed for him. Then before he could hold them back, tears began to stream down his face.

The sunlight of late July poured in through the window. James swore to himself that he would teach Harry everything. Absoloutely everything about life. He would teach him and show everything he had ever learned. James would be there for Harry in a way that no father ever was. He would be there with Harry for as long as he possible could and keep his arms open to embrace him, no matter how old he got.

Suddenly, James started to wonder if he was ready to be a man. The man that he had to become. He took a breath, and put his arm around his wife Lily. They stood in admiration as they watched their son. They had, after all, created life.

However, there was one wish he had for Harry. He hoped that Harry would not be like him. He hoped that Harry would be able to guide his life. Not be in a rush to get everything done as soon as possible. He wished Harry would not lose his virginity at sixteen like him, that Harry would not hurt somebody's feelings as badly as he himself had hurt Lily's a long time ago in Hogwarts. He hoped Harry would understand...

Harry woke up, and started to cry. Lily rushed to the crib, but James was faster. He lifted baby Harry and started to swing him gently in his arms. "I have my arms wide open for you Harry," He said to the baby. "I promise I'll show you everything ..."
