I do NOT own the Outsiders, but I do own Anna. I hope you all like this oneshot :.

A wise woman once said that, "In everyone's lifetime they will meet a girl who could mend everyone else's heart except her own." That quote is very true.

In the small town of Tulsa, Oklahoma lived a girl who had such a way of doing this. Her name was Anna, and did she have eyes that you could stare into for hours. Anna's hair would be just a pure brown gold, and her smile was brighter then the suns. She had the personality to back it up too. Making everyone smile and laugh, but there was a secret behind Anna, she was terribly alone. Yes, she had friends, she had family, but those 'friends' were just background figures to her. They never loved her as much as she loved them, they never visited her when she was sick like she did to them, and they never stopped her from hurting like she did to them.

No.

Of course not. Because not everyone can be so kind hearted the way she was. That's why it was easy to fall in love with her. Just like how one boy did.

No, it wasn't because of her looks, actually, Anna was rather pale, and her eyes were a bit tired. But it was because of how he knew what she felt.

Because he felt it too. And he knew, oh yes, he knew indeed.

The boy would think his brother hated him, and his friends were just there. It was like he had nowhere to go, just like she did.

That boy's name was Ponyboy.

Ponyboy Curtis.

People are right when they say, "You can't help who you fell in love with."

Of course, Ponyboy and Anna weren't strangers to each other. They knew each other to well for that. So well, that Anna thought he was the perfect friend. The only one who loved her as much as she loved him, the only one who visited her when she was sick as she did, and stopped her from hurting as much as she did for him.

Yes. They were made for each other. A match made in heaven, or so it's called.

But one day that had to be proved. Anna didn't just rely on thoughts and trust her instinct like everyone else. For sometimes, your instinct could be wrong. She got the courage to ask him the truth, the day when she, again, watched the sunset with Pony boy.

"Ponyboy…" She began. Ponyboy turned to face her. His eyes in a dream like daze because he was so caught up in the sunset. "Yeah?" He asked.

Anna fidgeted a bit. "I have a couple questions to ask." She began.

The sunset was now gone and all that was left was Anna and Ponyboy in the dark. "Go ahead." He began.

"We're friends right?"

"Yes."

"You would visit me when I'm sick right?"

"Yes."

"You would stop me from hurting right?"

"Yes."

There was a pause. "Anymore questions?" Ponyboy asked. Anna starred down curiously.

"Do you love me as much as I love you?" She asked.

More silence. Anna looked up to see a smiling Ponyboy. "Yes." He said.

Anna smiled, and for the first time in a long time she felt her heart being mended.

"Thank you Ponyboy. " She said and softly kissed him on the cheek.

He hugged her lightly and kissed her on the lips. "You're welcome Anna."

A wise woman once said that, "In everyone's lifetime they will meet a girl who could mend everyone else's heart except her own." That quote is not true.

Because if Anna could do it, then so could anyone else.
