Remembering

There he was. Sitting at the table, covered in food. Alone. He stared at it with blank eyes then turned to the empty chairs seated around him. The pain hit him. He finally realized it.

He was alone.

They were never coming back. Itachi killed them all. ALL of them. He will never hear their laughter or hear them talk about what they are thankful for. He will never hear them.

Ever again.

He turned back to the table and swallowed. Why? Why did this happen to him? Tears stung his eyes but he held them in. He refused to let them fall. The day Itachi killed his clan, he swore that he would never cry. It was a form of weakness.

And Sasuke Uchiha was not weak.

He turned to the meal he made so carefully. He can't share it with anyone. He stared at the turkey. That was a lot for one boy, wasn't it? The door creaked open and the Uchiha jumped. A little blonde haired boy with curious things on his face that looked like whiskers peaked his head in. Sasuke blinked.

Huh?

The stranger jumped when he saw Sasuke. "Sasuke?" The boy asked with curiousity. Sasuke nodded slowly, eyes widened. The strange boy grinned. "I see you in class! I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" He greeted.

"Hello Naruto." Sasuke replied calmly. "Out of curiousity, why are you in my house?"

Naruto looked around. "Don't know." He replied easily. "I saw smoke coming from this place and, naturally, I had to come in." He glanced at the table and gasped. "WOW! That's A LOT of food!" He turned to Sasuke. "You made that ALL for YOURSELF and you're going to EAT IT ALL?" He asked in awe. Sasuke nodded slowly. Naruto smiled and sat down next to him. "We can't have that now can we?"

Sasuke jumped and smiled a little.

Guess he's not alone after all.
