PROLOGUE
I've never felt this way,
I've never thought my mind would stray
Yet my heart is pounding, glowing with pride,
the story of me and my angel I could no longer hide
Garreth Adams, his name meaning light,
an amazing guardian with a smile so bright
I'd never thought he could be real,
'Till the day we met, a connection I could feel
He was familiar, that I would say,
like I saw him in the past and everyday
It was impossible but somehow true,
My mind didn't know him but my heart always knew
Now here I am, staring at the sky,
with my angel I know is always near by
His hand's holding mine as we lay on the grass,
And I prayed for time to slowly pass
I look at him and he smiles at me
then a silly grin on my lips breaks free
"I love you, Teagan," he whispers in my ear
I happily returned it, my voice had no fear
We laid in loving silence 'till I heard the angel's voice,
he asked me a question, an obvious yes was my choice
He starts telling me a story from the past
Then he wonders why time flew so fast
He tells me a story of when I was young
of one Christmas Carol I always sung
He smiles at the memory, his eyes sparked with glee,
then he gives another smile to me
I smiled with him as we reminisced,
my mind suddenly remembering a past I so missed
Now I know why there was familiarity,
Because Garreth actually grew up with me
Up until now, since I was a child,
He protected me from every evil and wild
I wanted to remember more of the past,
so Garreth started another story and it wasn't the last…
