So this story is basically taking Christian Kane's song, "Mary, Can You Come Outside" and throwing in with the Leverage Crew. In the intro. to this song Christian Kane talks about how polite he is so that is basically a direct quote.
I own nothing, whether it be Leverage or Christian Kane's music.
"Eliot?" Sophie said to get his attention.
"Hmm…" he replied immersed in the file he was reading.
"Are you working another job on the side?"
"What?" he said, that question really grabbing his attention. "Uh, no I'm not, what would make you think that?"
"Well I just noticed that your knuckles are bruised and cut like you had been fighting recently and we haven't had a job in a while. I was just curious, I feel that we should know when you are on a side job, just in case." She chided.
Eliot looked down at his hands as if he hadn't even noticed the wounds and smirked.
"Oh no, these aren't from a job Soph. But it is a pretty good story."
"Please tell us then."
"Okay so you know that condo I bought? Well there is a smaller one next to mine and this woman Mary and her boyfriend, or whatever he is, live there together and well, Mary is a really nice woman, I used to see her all the time…"
"Oh, Eliot!" Sophie interrupted, "Please don't tell me that you slept with her and then got into a fight with her boyfriend, because that is not good story."
"No Sophie, I didn't sleep with her…god…anyway, like I was sayin', I used to see her all the time, I would pass her in the hall or you know, see her in the lobby or whatever but then she stopped leavin' her condo all of a sudden and I didn't see her at all anymore. I knew her and what's-his-name were fighting and I knew he wasn't treatin' her right. I could hear him throwing her around and stuff like that and I guess that's why she didn't leave their apartment anymore because she was all beat-up but I didn't do anything about it. I mean, she seemed like a smart woman, I figured she would leave him soon enough but that didn't happen so yesterday when I heard him hittin' her again I decided to stop sittin' around on my hands and I went over and politely knocked on their door and then I politely beat the shit of him. "
"Well Eliot, that's very gentlemanly of you." Sophie said, with a satisfied look on her face.
"Well you know me Sophie, always the gentleman"
