This is my story about a rondom chance meeting between Harry and Hermione when they were little wee kiddies... Aww, aren't they cAute?
Disclaier: Harry Potter not mine!
"Now you are to stay here and you are not to move." Petunia snapped.
She always left Harry in the trolley in an isle of the supermarket while she did her shopping in shopping baskets. She had refused to shop with Harry ever since the day he'd asked her for something, no matter how politely he did it.
Dudley was on the floor, grabbing bags of food off the shelves around them.
"DudderDumpling, you put that in the trolley and come with mummy." She cooed, holding out a hand that her greedy son grasped before holding his things up for her to place in their trolley.
"Mine!" he snapped at Harry when he turned to look.
"Don't touch his things, we'll be back." Petunia said, and with that she took of down the isle, Dudley waddling in her wake and looking like a rather fat frog in his green plastic raincoat.
Harry watched them go and wriggled a little in the front of the trolley. He touched his wet hair and smiled. He always loved the rain. Though Petunia didn't let him splash in the puddles anymore.
Dudley was allowed to splash in the puddles.
Harry frowned.
"Wa's wrong?" Said a little voice to his side.
Harry turned to see a bushy haired little girl about his age staring at him and looking concerned. He shrugged. The girl tilted her head to the side a little and said.
"I'm Hermione Granger. And you is...?"
"Hawy." He said shyly. She nodded.
"Hello Hawy."
"Where's your mum?" She asked. Harry looked at her through big eyes for a while and finally looked down at his lap and shrugged.
"Mine's getting the milk, she has to go really far back." Harry didn't seem to know what to say to her.
"You have green eyes." She told him, she'd noticed.
"I know." He mumbled.
"How come?" She asked. Harry looked at her again.
"I don't know." He answered, brow furrowed in concentration. He plainly hadn't had many interactions with other kids his ages before.
"What's that thing on your face?" She asked. Harry felt around for a second.
"Tha's a scar." He said eventually. Hermione looked at it.
"It's like lightning." She told him matter-of-factly.
"I know."
"Where's it from?"
"I dunno."
She looked at him for another long minute, during which Harry only stared at his hands.
"I like it." She said after a while. Harry looked up in shock and then, slowly, a smile spread across his face.
"Thanks."
"Hermione, who's this?" Asked a friendly voice from nearby. Hermione looked up at the woman and smiled at her as she set the milk in the cart.
"Tha's Harry."
"Hello Harry." The woman said kindly. Harry blinked at her in shock and looked down again.
"Where's your mummy?" She asked him. Harry looked around and did what Petunia had told him. He pointed at a nearby woman.
"Alright, bye bye Harry! Wave bye bye to your friend Hermione!" She said, waving at him.
She began to wheel away her trolley, and as it went Hermione leaned around her and waved.
"Bye bye Hawy." She called.
"Bye 'Ermione." He said softly, lifting his hand in a quick wave.
Eight years later neither could remember a thing.
So yeah, that's it... review please, I'm begging you *puppy dog eyes of doom*
