A/N: Hannah has a small breakdown in Herbology before her O.W.L.s, Neville helps. I've noticed I can't help mentioning Wayne Hopkins in everything I write... I just love the bloke... And Wayne/Dean =D

Trouble In The Greenhouses

"I can't do this!" shouted Hannah Abbott in the middle of her Herbology class.

Her partners, Neville Longbottom, Wayne Hopkins and Megan Jones jumped a bit, startled.

"What's wrong, Hannah?" asked Neville, worried.

"She's having a breakdown, Longbottom," said Wayne Hopkins. "I thought it was obvious."

"Shut up, Wayne," said his best friend, Megan. "Are you all right, Hannah?"

They had been practicing for her O.W.L.s and it wasn't like Hannah to just give up.

"No, I'm not all right!" Hannah said hysterically, earning stares from almost everyone in the class. "I'm too stupid to take these exams!"

Wayne squeezed her hand and said, "Relax, Hannah, everything will be all right."

Hannah broke into sobs.

"No, no it won't! I want to leave school, I can't take it any more!"

Professor Sprout sighed deeply.

"Neville, could you please take Hannah to the Hospital Wing? A calming draught might be in order. Hopkins and Jones, go work with Finnigan and Thomas."

Neville took Hannah's hand and led her slowly to the Hospital Wing. When they entered, Madam Pomfrey was tending to another student, who Neville recognised as Terry Boot. Anthony Goldstein and Michael Corner were sitting beside him.

Neville led Hannah to a bed and sat down with her, slowly rubbing her back. Finally, Madam Pomfrey approached them.

"What seems to be the problem?" she asked.

Hannah broke into hysterical sobs once again.

"I can't do this! I'm stupid! Everyone knows more than I do!"

Madam Pomfrey sighed.

"It seems to me you need a Calming Draught. Well, you're the first one this year," she said, as she left to prepare the Draught.

"Don't worry, Hannah, I'm sure you'll get all Os and Es," Neville said comfortingly.

Hannah let out a dry sob and buried her face in his shoulder. Neville rubbed her back slowly as she cried.

A few minutes later, Madam Pomfrey returned with the Draught.

"I would like you to stay the night," she said, handing Hannah a pair of old pyjamas.

Neville got up from the bed to allow Hannah to get dressed. He walked over to Terry's bed.

"Hello, Terry, Michael, Anthony," he greeted them.

"Hey, Neville," they replied glumly in unison.

"What happened?" Neville asked, noticing a scar on Terry's neck.

Terry smiled weakly.

"Just a bit of trouble in Potions," he muttered.

"It's all my fault!" exclaimed Anthony, tears prickling down his face. "I'm duffers at Potions, but I had to go and experiment!"

Terry and Michael both smiled encouragingly at Anthony.

"Merlin, Tony, I'm not dying!" said Terry with a smile. "I'll just have this scar!"

At that moment, Hannah had gotten dressed, so Neville returned to her side. She took a large gulp of the potion.

"Mmm, this is quite delicious!" she said.

Finally, she laid back and closed her eyes.

"What's your next class, Nev?" she asked.

Neville got a bit confused; he didn't even notice that the bell had already rang, marking the end of Herbology.

"Charms," he said. "I'll have to go get my bag, though."

"No need to," said Hannah, pointing to Ernie Macmillan, Justin Finch-Fletchley and Susan Bones who had just entered, carrying the bags of both Neville and Hannah.

"Here you go, Neville," said Ernie, handing him his bag.

"Thanks a lot, Ernie," Neville replied earnestly.

"So, Han, how are you?" asked Justin, sitting down on her bed.

"I'm much better, thanks."

Neville walked over to the door.

"Well, the bell's about to ring. I'll see you guys later!" he said.

Hannah grinned and replied, "See you, Neville and thank you!"
