God Wills It
E/O Drabble Challenge: word count 100
Challenge word: blunt
Warnings: Season 6 finale spoiler. Some insults are ill-advised, especially when talking to an angel. Or a God. They have long memories.
It had been said with the bluntness of a child who had yet to learn subtlety, but cut like the sharpest knife.
Of course, Dean's words shouldn't have hurt at all. An angel, even one that had fallen, and been reinstated, and had died (twice), shouldn't be affected by the inane utterances of a venal and base human. Even if that human had been instrumental in saving the world.
Everything would be different now. No longer a baby in a trenchcoat, no longer an angel; without friends or family Castiel would have the respect He deserved. From everyone.
Deus vult.
