"Hera no!" Ember's dad yelled "I'm sorry but I have to." Ember's mother, Hera said "Mom no!" A very young and scared Ember who was only 5 at the time. But Hera went in the cave. Queit. Then she sceamed a loud and bloodcurling scearm. Ember's dad tried to pick up the 5 year-old Ember but Ember ran into the cave. When Ember got to her mother she was all most dead. "Here Ember I what you to have this." Hera gave Ember an neacklace that had an Ethos sigil ingraved on the only jewel that was the center. Those were her last words.
Now 12 years later still remembers that day and over those 12 years alot has happened. She
had met the defenders, Adam, Order of Infinis well... you get the idea. She went to visit her
mother's grave but as much as she looked she could not find her mother's grave. She asked the
grave keeper were her mother's grave was and the grave keeper said that the king (Ember's dad)
wanted her bruned and then the king sold her ashes. Nodding Ember lefted the grave and when
she got to palace it was empty like the king's heart. Adam was always home but not today. She
was happy that Adam was not home so then she can ball her eyes out. She reached into her
pocket and pulled out the neacklace that her mother gave to her before she died. Holding it close
to her heart she begin to cry. Around 30 mintues later Adam came home and saw her sobbing like
there's no tomorrow. Going over to Ember and asking "What's the matter Ember?" To Ember
Adam's voice was as soft as slik. "My father is being an asshole again." Ember answered him.
Nodding in understand Adam pulls her into an hug. She closes her eyes. Slowly the tears stop.
