The garrison was as cold as it always was with constant snow and the freezing winds, but Raevlyn felt heat infusing her cheeks and spreading throughout her body as her eyes tracked the newest follower. A lithe form with just enough curves to make her heart flutter and coarse forest green hair tied into a thick braid that went perfectly with the druidic robes she wore. The blood elf's lips curled into a slight smile as she noted the little leaves that looked so natural in the troll's hair.
Raevlyn had never felt so strongly before, especially towards another woman and a forest troll at that. It sent a thrill of fear and excitement up her spine. She couldn't resist her, couldn't help approaching the other woman, couldn't help placing light touches where ever there was exposed skin as they talked. The floral scent that surrounded the troll druid drew her further in and the elf felt like she was drowning. It was an experience that she found herself quickly addicted to, so she latched herself to the inviting grin and the low chuckle that made her shiver.
Everything else seemed to fade away when she was with the troll and as time passed the days blended together, all Raevlyn saw was that grin framed with the most adorable little tusks and all she could smell was that sweet floral perfume. They did their missions together, spent their nights together. The troll who's name she could never remember, did she ever get it?, brought her food every day; an abundance of fruits and vegetables that tasted better than anything the Silvermoon chefs could cook up. So much that she passed at least half of it out to the others stationed at the garrison.
The haze became constant as more time passed, her mind always muddled and memory fleeting, but the druid was always there and as long as she stayed with her the elf was content, unbothered. She noticed absently that the leaves in her lover's hair seemed to have grown larger, but the thought faded as soon as it came.
Raevlyn never noticed the troll slipping out late at night as she slept yet coming back before she woke, never noticed as other garrison personnel vanished those nights to never be heard from again. She took in the green tint that stained her skin and thought nothing of it. She was a child of the sun, so it was only normal she basked in it's nurturing light every chance she got and the leaves in her hair were surely a gift from her druid lover; there was no reason to remove them.
When half the garrison rebelled it was only right that she and the remaining others threw their bodies into the thick vegetation that took over their large herb farm by the heated pools. The corpses would provide much needed food for the friends her lover brought. To Raevlyn's distress, a few days later more Horde forces came to the garrison with aggression. They must have been driven by starvation in this harsh climate, surely? Her lover suggested so. Perhaps if she fed them the delicious fruits their Botani friends provided they would settle down…
